    How good is it?

I found it on a site for $28

    Is it worth it?
It says it was released 1995-06-28

    Thanks

Well, that depends. If you are a William completist, then definately because it is VERY hard to find. I feel as though the music is the series weakest, but some feel differently. I have it, but I'm a completist. I got it to round out my collection. Now, don't get me wrong... I have listened to it and I do like it but I don't think it holds a candle to the music in the third movie! Just my humble opinion!
Or, as some people say JMHO.

    Good luck!!

That may seem expensive but as it is only available as an import from Japan, that is just about right.

In my view, it is as good as score as any of the other Indiana Jones films and that makes it quite good indeed.

March of the Slave Children is awesome and it is really a crime that this score is not available in a less expensive, more complete recording.

Whenever I read questions like yous it reminds me of that old saying (Paraphased from Antiquers):

"It is never the soundtrack that you buy that you regret, it is the one you don't"

Thankfully, I have few regrets. By all means don't let this become one of your regrets. Buy it, if you liked the other two scores.

There will be a expanded release soon anyways. I would not spend the money on the import.

Racerprose, what do you base your comment on?

Don't get me wrong I am hoping that you are correct, just trying to find out what you know. I would eagerly plop down a cool 20 for a moderately complete score of this one.

You can get it here for 26.96. It's ok. Just remember that it is an old recording and it is on Polydor, which isn't the best label.

It's a novelty for the Williams' collector, regardless of the possibility of an expanded release. I don't listen to my copy that much, but I sure am glad I have it.

Sorry guys, perhaps I should have been more clear....

I have no information on a expanded release (as of now). I was just saying you should wait because it is likely there will be a expanded release.

    One thing to add,
There was a rumor flying around that Lucas is trying to buy the rights to Indy I (Temple of Doom, as it is relocated by Spielberg. Raiders is now Indy II) and III. The only thing holding them back is the legal issues, which WAS in court last year. If so, there will probably be arranged much like the Star Wars Anthology set. Does anybody know if I am relying on false information and wild dreams?

I don't know Racerprose, it's been 16 years and no score release (domestic CD anyway), so I am not sure if there will be one.

Your right about the sound not being quite as good as Last Crusade, however, its a John Williams Indy score. I would cheerfully give up every James Horner that he has yet to write for one more John Williams/Indy adventure score. It is very worth having and I certainly enjoy mine.

How long did we wait for the Star Wars Trilogy music? Be patient.... It is a virtue .

Racer, I've had Star Wars Trilogy music bursting at the seams ever since I was 10. I have NEARLY every legitimate "edition" that has been released, all the way back to the original Polydor discs. I call myself crazy (because of that) on a regular basis. But anyway, I don't think we've waited *that* long. Errr... us younguns haven't, at least.

Of course there has been Star Wars music available, so has been (and still is, in some places) the Temple of Doom score.

It's Williams, it's Indiana Jones. I'm confident we'll see complete releases of at least the last two scores sooner or later. And I hope one of the first score, too.

NP: Sound of printer in tbe background. Actually, it just stopped, I got to put in more paper.

I am sure we will (see a score release) as well, I just don't feel there is any cause to believe it will be soon.

Since 1977 Star Wars has never been out of print, the same can not be said of Indiana Jones scores. For a long time all that was available was Last Crusade.

I can be patiant, afterall, I have been waiting nearly 20 years for The Caine Mutiny, so I will wait for Temple of Doom in a better release. I still have my Polydor CD.
