Ladies and gentleman, since this board doesn't have an upcoming composers section. I thought it would be a great idea to fill in as to who's scoring what in the months ahead and behind hehehe okay here we go:

Jerry Goldsmith will score the Kiss the Girls prequel "Along Came the Spider", which has been pushed back because of reshoots. He also might score Mummy Returns unless he changes his mind.

John Williams will score Harry Potter and A.I. for Steven Spielberg based on a script by the late Stanley Kubrick starring Jude Law, Haley Joel Osment and the sexy Frances O'Connor from Bedazzled. Not to mention, Minority Report starring Tom Cruise and that little movie Star Wars Episode 2.

Trevor Jones has already scored the Kevin Costner politcal thriller 13 Days to be released in September and the upcoming 20th Century-Fox thriller From Hell starring Johnny Depp, about the exploits of the killer Jack the Ripper. From Hell is directed by the Hughes Brothers, who also directed Menace II Society and Dead Presidents.

Marc Shaiman is scoring the upcoming MGM Martin Lawrence/Danny DeVito comedy, What's the Worst that Could Happen.

Basil Poledouris will be scoring Crocodile Dundee in L.A. (A Shocker I Know)

Trevor Rabin will score Steven Seagal's latest comeback in Andrej Bartkowiak's action-thriller Exit Wounds along with scoring the James VanDer Beek western, Texas Rangers.

James Newton Howard will be scoring Disney's latest animated movie Atlantis, along with the drama Unconditonal Love and the Arnold Schwarzengger action-extravangza, Collateral Damage.

Hans Zimmer will no doubt score Pearl Harbor and Hannibal opening in Febuary and the Sean Penn directed drama, The Pledge.

Don Davis will score Matrix 2 and 3

Robert Folk will most likely score Steve Odekirk's latest comedy, Dubbed Action Movie. Check out the Fox Movies website for details on this one. It's hilarious.

David Holmes will score the all-star Steven Soderburgh remake of Ocean's Eleven starring the likes of George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, and Bill Murray.

Thomas Newman will likely score Sam Mendes next film starring Tom Hanks titled The Road to Perditation.

David Newman will score Charles Shyer's The Affair of the Necklace and most likely score the Edward Norton/Robert DeNiro action-thriller, The Score for Bowfinger director Frank Oz.

John Powell will score the Sylvester Stallone thriller, Eye See You.

Graeme Revell will score the Johnny Depp drug-drama, Blow and the drama Attraction.

George S.Clinton will score the upcoming Kevin Costner/Kurt Russell action film, 3,000 Miles to Graceland.

Anne Dudley will score the Brendan Fraser live-action/animated comeday, Monkeybone.

B.T. will score the John McTiernan remake of Rollerball and Vin Diesel's latest action fest for director Rob Cohen, Redline and NOT Randy Edelman.

David Kitay will most likely return to score Scary Movie 2 by Keenan Ivory Wayans.

Christopher Young will be scoring The Glass House and the highly anticipated, The Gift for director Sam Raimi and featuring an all star cast headed by Keanu Reeves, Katie Holmes, Cate Blanchett, Giovanni Ribisi and Greg Kinnear.

Mark Mancina will score the highly anticipated sequel to Bad Boys starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence called Bad Boys 2:Bad Around the World directed by Tom Dey (Shanghai Noon)

James Horner is currently scoring Jurassic Park 3.

Carter Burwell is scoring the Sean Penn/Johnny Deep film Before Night Falls.

David Arnold will score Peter Hyams' D'Artangan and the new untitled James Bond film.

Terence Blanchard will score the upcoming Samuel L.Jackson film, Caveman's Valentine and the Antonio Banderas/Angelina Jolie action-comedy, Original Sin.

It seems Howard Shore isn't just busy scoring the upcoming Lord of the Rings Trilogy. He's scoring the comedy The Colored Star starring South Park creator Trey Parker and Charlie Sheen and David Cronenberg's latest film, Camera.

Marco Beltrami is scoring the John Dahl road thriller, Squelch and Walk Across Egypt.

That's all for now!!! I'll try and get the scoop on some other projects.

Way-to-go, man! Thanks for posting such a comprehensive "forecast". A note about "Along Came A Spider:" Mark McKenzie is currently orchestrating for Mr. Goldsmith. I've heard good things from him about the score! Goldsmith fans, rejoice!

As for JP3... I've heard otherwise where Horner is concerned. I'll investigate further, but at the end of August a composer hadn't been chosen for the film (everything up to that point was a rumor). I know that's been a few months... so I'll see what I can actually confirm.

I'm looking forward to just about everything on that list, 'cept the Scary Movie sequel (is that REALLY gonna happen?? Please God, no!).

    Jeron

PS- Let's hope David Arnold keeps D'Artagnan! I'm definitely looking forward to that and Bond 20.

It is indeed James Horner scoring JP3 for director Joe Johnston and there will definetly be a Scary Movie 2 coming out it's slated for a summer 2001 release. I have to agree that it's interesting that Peter Hyams went with David Arnold on D'Artangan. I honestly thought that it was gonna be John Debney. Well anyways, Goldsmith has been listed as the composer for the upcoming Kevin Spacey drama The Shipping News. Mark McKenzie orchestrating for JG, I knew it would happen. YES!!!! See miracles do happen.

Hollow Man (J.G.) ****/***** (Am I the only one who likes both the movie and the score!!!!) JJ's right. It's time for the hate mongers to buy this score ASAP. Or just wait for the DVD since it's gonna be isolated in it's complete form. Some 1 hour and 50 minutes of score!!!

As much as I would look forward to Horner's work on JP3...I don't think I would survive the anti-Horner jihad that would ensue, and the unavoidable Williams-Horner Deathmatch!

Of those listed, Zimmer's projects illicit the most excitement. I am also looking forward to Arnold's scores...although I must admit that The Mummy Returns with Silvestri attached worries me.

Basil Poledouris scoring CROCODILE DUNDEE 3 isn't a shocker - he's worked with the director 3 times before.

Marco Beltrami is also working on DRACULA 2000, THE DANGEROUS LIVES OF ALTER BOYS, and "The Practice". Also expect him to do BLADE 2, probably.

Dan, I think Danny (Hard Target) was being sarcastic when he mentioned Poledouris' assignment to Dundee 3 was a shocker.....

John Barry is scoring British spy thriller ENIGMA, I hope he stays with this one, though he is a friend of director Michael Apted!

Danny Elfman is scoring SPIDERMAN, I hope this changes, unless Elfman brings something new to the table. Spidey requires something that isn't Batman, Darkman or Dick Tracy!
I'd plump for Poledouris on this one but that probably won't happen.

your H'ness, I heard that John Malkavitch could be playing The Green Goblin?...not a bad choice, he'd definately make a good Norman Osborn. I still think your choice of Bruce Campbell is the inspired one though

That's all really good news, except for D'Artangan. It's not that I don't like David Arnold, it's just that I was really hoping for another John Debney adventure score. Do you know if this was Hyams's decision or someone else's? He praised the heck out of Debney on his End of Days DVD commentary. A David Arnold score will be cool, but I'm just curious.

Of course I was joking about Poledouris scoring Crocodile Dundee 3 or Crocodile Dundee in L.A. as it's being called. Anyway, Howard had definetly scored Vertical Limit and Varese will release the score on December 12 along with Danny Elfman's Proof of Life. Elfman is perfect for Spiderman after all he scored Darkman, which to me is a Sam Raimi classic, Sleepy Hollow and the upcoming Planet of the Apes remake. So I honestly think that's the approach he will take.

I hope Mark Isham returns for Blade 2. I loved his score for the first one and I think he can really let loose on the next one if given the chance. But here's an oddball choice, how bout Christopher Young scoring Blade 2 or how bout Elliot Goldenthal. Alan Silvestri scoring Mummy Returns isn't a bad choice..He's definetly no Goldsmith, but he'll bring his own fresh ideas to it. Let's hope for the best. Hey Dan, I enjoyed your liner notes for the Cruel Intentions score. Great job bud..love the album. I recommend it highly.

Hey guys, you have to check the DVD because it has an actual interview with Horner and him on the scoring stage recording a cue in the presence of director Wolfgang Petersen. As my girlfriend would say, "It's Awesome!!!"
