Can somebody please tell me what's up with Taras Bulba? I can't find it in any stores and even this site doesn't have it in stock...

I see a thousand copies of Rykodisc's The Magnificent Seven, For Your Eyes Only, and The Thomas Crown Affair (1968) everywhere, but no Taras Bulba!

I looked in six different music stores in Bangor, Maine with a wad of money burning a hole in my pocket and all I could lay my hands on was the Varese Planet of the Apes!

I got a copy of Taras Bulba earlier this year, but I can't remember where I got it.

Screen Archives, Footlight? Try at either place and let us know.

    Marc

Just checked, it's available at Screen Archives for $15.

    Ah thanks Marc.

I'm still curious why it seems other Ryko discs are much more prolific than the Taras Bulba album.

Hmmm. I've been having trouble trying to find a copy of Ryko's Carrie too. Curious.

I found my copy at Tower Records.

So, what did you think of my review?

Mr. Swashbuck, I thought your review was excellent! This is truly a great score, filled with action and excitement.

Mr. Little, I agree with you, too. The missing Taras Bulba is interesting, but then considering how stuff goes out of print on the Milan and Varese labels, it seems kinda normal. I do remember someone leaking a report about the Taras Bulba CD not selling so much, which might be the reason it's no longer delivered through regular distribution.

Who knows? There are many variables to these kinds of things....
