    Hi!

There's only a few more days before Halloween and I want to have some cool scary movie soundtracks to play for my friends.

Ford seems to be the fellow to ask about this kind of stuff so I guess I'm asking.

    Any suggestions?

    Thunks!

    Joey

    thunks?

    I stand by The Omen.

they say Mephisto Waltz is scary, but I have yet to hear it.

Apparently if we're not record producers, we're chopped liver.

The Mephisto Waltz IS scary. Much scarier than The Omen.

To stay on a "produced by Ford" topic, get The Fog. Carpenter's spooooookiest score.

    Thunks yourself,
    Shaun

Yes, that's certainly interesting......wouldn't it be cute if Ford had a stalker named Joey?

Cut out the caliope and THE HAUNTING works wonderfully. Almost all of CRIMINAL LAW and MALICE would be good for a scary atmosphere. COMA if you can skip out the disco bits. Have you got THE DARK CRYSTAL? Play The Gelfling Song (you know, when Jen and Kira are on the boat?) against some thunder and lightning effects - totally different effect than the one intended, spooks a poppin'.

    Well,...

    1) A History of Horror--2 disc set on Silva has a good mix.

    2) Nightbreed (Elfman)
    3) Mimic (Beltrami)
    4) Bride of Frankenstein (Waxman)
    5) Gerald Fried 2-disc set from FSM
    6) Jaws/Jaws 2
    7) Jurassic Park--some of it anyway
    8) Interview with a Vampire (Goldenthal)
    9) King Kong (Steiner)
    10) Deep Rising (Goldsmith)
    11) IJ & Temple of Doom--especially the chant cue

In the classical realm you could try:
    1) Rite of Spring (Stravinsky)
    2) The finale from "Don Giovanni" (Mozart) where the Don is taken to Hell.
