He is contributing to the Coen Bros' latest, O BROTHER, WHERE ART THOU? after all. His name's not on the posters I saw, but the IMDb credits him with "additional music." Score credit goes to T-Bone Burnett (who was the music supervisor on THE BIG LEBOWSKI) and Chris Thomas King ("songs.")

It just dismayed me to think of a Coen Bros. movie without at least SOMETHING by Carter Burwell, who's one of my very favorites. I was worried they'd had a falling-out. ("You guys win an Oscar for FARGO and I'M NOT EVEN NOMINATED?!?!?" Nah, in the few interviews I've read, Burwell never struck me as ego-trippy. )

I read a while back that this was going to be a minimal effort for Burwell, like in Big Lebowski.

can't wait to see the movie.

    NP -- nothing
