It's the one starring that gem of an actor - Jeff Bridges (see Arlington Rd., Big Lebowski)I wasn't too impressed during the film, untill the last ten minutes that is. The film centres around a plane crash - no spoilers here, it's scene 1 - and the portrayal of the crash is superb.
No sound effects, just stunning visuals and Gorecki's 3rd Symphony which make for an unforgettable scene.
Does anyone have the CD? Apart from Gorecki and Gypsy Kings, is the rest any good? What's the original music by Jarre like?
There's not that much use of music, but where found it's very effective. Apart from the scene mentioned above there's a particular scene using U2's 'Where the streets have no name' which is great.
JJ - If I remember correctly you netioned having it on an earlier thread. What do you think?

I don't remembr the music from this movie, but I remember the emotion I felt when it was over. No other movie made me feel as depressed. I can't remember why though, it's like I blocked it out of my memory.I DO remember I thought it was an outstanding movie, with outstanding performances by Bridges and Perez.
Now that I'm thinking about it, I remember remarking at the time that a more apt title for the movie would have been "Survivor."
My advice? Don't watch this movie if you are severely depressed! But don't miss it either.

I have no clue about Jarre's music, but for some reason I want to say that it's electronic.I don't remember much about the movie, but the use of Gorecki's music is superb (as is the music itself).
Fearless is also the movie where I discovered that I loathe Rosie Perez's accent. It Could Happen to You only confirmed it.

As fate would have it, I found the CD in a bargain bin for $5. Guess what I did? I picked it up.The original music by Jarre is nothing special, but the CD is worth it for the over 26 minute long masterpiece at the end, which I would imagine sounds 100 times better after seeing it's use in the film.
