Yet another CD I thought for sure would get a score only release... I was hoping that Revell's score would be released, but I guessed wrong. Maybe Varese will pick this one up since "Titan AE" did not get released.

"Red Planet" Track Listings (as of 10/19/2k)
    1. Tower That Ate People, The - Peter Gabriel
    2. Thousand Years, A - Sting
    3. When The World Is Running Down (You Can't Go Wrong) - (Different Gear remix)
    4. Mantok Point - William Orbit

Eh?? The CD only has 4 tracks?? I suspect there could be some score on this release. A score can be well represented even when there is a fair share of songs on the album as well. Take THE POSTMAN for instance. Plenty of score there.

The label Interscope is not known for it's score releases on soundtracks.

Below are all the soundtracks Interscope Records has released:

    Bulworth (1998)
    Get on the Bus (1996)
    Hoodlum (1997)
    Life (1999)
    Lost Highway (1997)
    The Million Dollar Hotel (2000)
    Mystery Men (1999)
    Natural Born Killers (1994)
    Office Space (1999)
    The Rugrats Movie (1998)
    SuperCop (1996)
    Wild Wild West (1999)

Out of all of these "Lost Highway" got SOME score on its CD. And after all these various atrirts releases, I don't know why they would stop now and go to a score CD, they are in with the rap and rock anyway.

I would have to point out, though, that those movies on this Interscope list that did have significant scores had separate scores released. Bulworth, Hoodlum, Rugrats and Wild Wild West all had score albums released. Most of these other films didn't even have any score, save one, maybe two. Ok, so Interscope isn't known for its score releases. Just because they've not included score material on their album doesn't mean another label can't. For what it's worth....

I stand corrected. I'm still betting that Varese will pick this one up.
