The first eight notes of this theme sound VERY much like something Kamen has done. I can't put my finger on it - and I don't feel like rummaging through all my Kamen music. If you've got Williams' "The River," pull it out and listen to what I'm inquiring about. Am I crazy, or am I right about something here?

    Jeron

PS- I don't really care about accusing Kamen of ripping off Williams'. That means nothing to me. Just trying to figure out where I've heard the music before.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there's a MK score prior to 1984 that includes a similar melody...

You guys are misreading me. I can see where you'd misinterpret what I said. Allow me to clarify: I meant that Kamen took Williams' notes, not the other way around!! Duh. Jeron's not that stupid!

I'm not talking about a Kamen score prior to "The River." I'm talking about a Kamen score in the past 10 years. Maybe it's been recent. I can't decide.

One of the themes in The River reminds me a bit of Bruce Broughton's JAG theme, but that's not the love theme, I think.

Jeron, funny you should mention THE RIVER...as I just got that score on disc. Not the greatest, but not bad either...typical Williams I must say. I don't remember anything by Kamen sounding remotely like it, but it wouldn't surprise me (I am NOT a major Kamen fan...so I am not one to recognize the connection between The River and anything he has written).

It's not so much "The River" - just that combination of notes at the beginning of the "Love Theme." I am determined to prove to all of you that I'm not a psycho!

Jeron: The Logan/Rogue theme from X-Men sounds like a few notes in the River's love theme.
