Love Theme from "The River"............

Jeron Oscar® Winner	The first eight notes of this theme sound VERY much like something Kamen has done. I can't put my finger on it - and I don't feel like rummaging through all my Kamen music. If you've got Williams' "The River," pull it out and listen to what I'm inquiring about. Am I crazy, or am I right about something here? Jeron PS- I don't really care about accusing Kamen of ripping off Williams'. That means nothing to me. Just trying to figure out where I've heard the music before. Jeron Oscar® Winner	You guys are misreading me. I can see where you'd misinterpret what I said. Allow me to clarify: I meant that Kamen took Williams' notes, not the other way around!! Duh. Jeron's not that stupid! I'm not talking about a Kamen score prior to "The River." I'm talking about a Kamen score in the past 10 years. Maybe it's been recent. I can't decide.

Marian Schedenig Oscar® Winner	One of the themes in The River reminds me a bit of Bruce Broughton's JAG theme, but that's not the love theme, I think. NP: Philip Glass: Itaipu (Atlanta Symphony Orchestra & Chorus, Robert Shaw)

JoeInSanDiego Oscar® Winner	Jeron, funny you should mention THE RIVER...as I just got that score on disc. Not the greatest, but not bad either...typical Williams I must say. I don't remember anything by Kamen sounding remotely like it, but it wouldn't surprise me (I am NOT a major Kamen fan...so I am not one to recognize the connection between The River and anything he has written).
