Sci-Fi Channel this last weekend was running the great Christopher Lee Hammer horror film TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA, god what a great film and score.

If you don't have the CD release on GDI or the symphonic suite on the SILVA SCREEN
HAMMER album you are much the poorer.

I've been surprised about the lack of discussion of the GDI release, IMHO they are some of the most important film musicreleases of the past decade.

Now if they'd only get to David Whitaker's score to THE VAMPIRE CIRCUS or Laurie Johnson's complete score to CAPTAIN KORNOS,VAMPIRE HUNTER....

I'll be a happy man indeed.

    Regards

I fully agree with you Ford.
The news of the GDI releases were one of the most shocking pleasant surprises of the last decade on film music.
I expect that all master tapes of those wonderfull scores are available and will be released.I mostly expect (alongside with the ones you mentioned) some more Harry Robinson and James Bernard scores.
I remember three or four years ago, when i first bought Randal Larson's book about Hammer films film music. It was only in my dreams that all these treasures would be released.I thought that there were no master tapes.Fortunatelly i was wrong...
