So I've been watching THE BIONIC WOMAN and loving the music from it. I recently got a JOE HARNELL compilation and most of the music on it is pretty damn good......dated but GOOD.
www.IMDB.com says that he wasnt the only contributer though."Original music by
Charles Albertine
Robert Bryant (II)
John Cacavas
Richard Clements (I)
Luchi De Jesus
Jerry Fielding (also main title theme)
Dick Halligan
Joseph Harnell
Michael Isaacson
Dana Kaproff
Jerry Powell
Robert Price (III)
Herbert D. Woods"WHERE IS A CD OF THE BIONIC MUSIC???? Even from THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN??? IMDB has that show listed as OLIVER NELSON doing the score.
Am I in the minority here is digging this stuff? I'm sure most of u will dismiss this post as dealing with a "cheesy" show; so why bother?
Yeah yeah its cheesy and a tad more for kids than I remember.....BUT HEY!!!!

Anyone have music from these shows???
thanks all!!!

meegle, I remember great music in both The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman.I think it was Luchi De Jesus who did the memorable "Bigfoot" music from The 6, but it could have been JJ Johnson (reknowned jazz trombonist). Big tympani rhythms! And let's not forget Gil Melle's wild feature length episodes (Stu Phillips wrote the title song: "He's my maaan! Six Million Dollar Maaaan!")
The Bionic Woman had a tremendous theme by Jerry Fielding, great, but just a little embarrassing if your friends catch you listening to it (that lilting, girly piano).
Both main themes are on TVT's "In Living Color" CD, Volume 5.
Didn't Bill Conti do the more recent one wher they were both a bit crinkly?

What Harnell collection do you have? I've only seen two up close.Fielding's BIONIC WOMAN theme is lovely, and quite a surprise from the composer of such dissonant classics as STRAW DOGS and THE MECHANIC. I'm not extremely familiar with the music for the various shows produced by Kenneth Johnson, except to notice that a lot of Harnell's motifs overlap from SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN to BIONIC WOMAN to STOP SUSAN WILLIAMS to INCREDIBLE HULK, and so on. All good stuff, to my ear! But I'm predisposed to like it, I grew up with it, after all ...

"Steve Austin....a man barely alive...gentleman...we have the ability to rebuild him....we have the technology...the capability....to make the World's first BIONIC MAN (or words to that effect)....(Music Starts) Dum, dum dum dum dum...dum, dum, dum dum dum....da da da da....da da da da da da da da daaaaaaaa!!!
Cor, that brings back happy childhood memories. I used to watch the BIONIC series back in the 70's as a kid and always loved the funky music in the shows. One big dissappointment was that he always ran in slow-motion!!! I always wanted to see the speeded up running that you saw briefly in the opening titles but the episodes were always ruined by the gimmick of the slo-mo....and the old trick of jumping off a wall backwards and running the film in reverse....ha ha!! Also, I remember Lee Majors in close up just before he made a jump (looking as thought he couldnt jump over a small stone) suddenly shoot upwards in super-slow-slo-mo-reverse-film-mode!! Just thought I'd have a bit of a trip down memory lane and express my thoughts!! Great show for kids though (of all ages) Gae NP Star Trek: the final frontier[Message edited by Gae on 10-05-2000]

LOL!!!!!In order to rationalize the ridiculousness of the show...
They HAD to show it in SLO-MO cuz he was JUST TOO FAST for us to see him move man!!!
My fave little thing they had the Un-BIONIC actors do was to turn really quickly as if TO THEM he was lightning fast; then they'd cut to him in SLO-MO.
The irony to me is that you'd think they'd ALWAYS just speed up the film cuz it's cheaper. Filming at 48fps uses alot of film. But then u have the drawback of the Bionic Man looking like the Keystone Cops or those GREAT sequences in Benny Hill when he's chase some chick superfast along the English countryside.

Different WAY different. That on looks like stuff he did before he worked for TV.I would just use eBay's "personal shopper" and type in Harnell. It will search for u up to 3 months and email u when something with him is posted.

Hey, that promotional CD set is going to be awfully hard to get. And we'll be bidding against each other.Could somebody make mp3's of The Bionic Woman section available?
Either Napster or X-Drive would do the trick.
