His 4th is one of my favourites, and actually introduced me to Bruckner's works (then came the 6th, and then the rest). I only recently got his 0th myself. General rule: If you like one Bruckner symphony, you'll like 'em all.posted 10-13-2000 02:49 PM PT (US)

On Saturday:Mouse Hunt Complete (to be honest, it's not
really complete; two tracks - "Dying Wish" from the Varese CD and the hilarious piece when the loose threads of Lars' clothing get caught in the machinery. But still, these are minor gripes. It is very, very nice to have, in my possesion, a CD which, at one time, I thought to be an impossibility.NP - I'll give you one guess...

Actually, "Dying Wish" on the complete CD is the scene when Lars is kicked out. But, once again, it's a minor gripe.NP - A Fish Called Wanda ***.5/*****

Two days ago actually:
What Dreams May Come Rejected, Morricone
Yesterday:
Toy Story 3DVD collector's Edition - This is a great set; if you liked the movies, especially, but it has a lot of insight into the making of Pixar's films. (Some of the stuff is basic overview stuff showing how they animate stuff, which is a little redundant if you have the Bug's Life collector's edition, but the rest is excellent. I've only gotten about 25% of the way through it so far.

- Beethoven: Symphony #9 (Vienna Philharmonic, Leonard Bernstein) - Finally, a decent version of this work! I have a recording by George Szell (one of my first CDs), but I usually find Szell quite boring.
- Stigmata (DVD)
- Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky: Sleeping Beauty (DVD; Richard Bonynge conducting the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Cullberg Ballet doing really WEIRD stuff choreographed (is that a word?) by Mats Ek. You have to see this - totally weird, really!
)
