Man, i was just checking out profiles and noticed you were from dallas. When I'm not up here in school at Montana State, I live in downtown dallas. Are there any more in the Dallas area? if theres enough we need to all get together sometime, it'd be a blast.

    unbelievable!
I transferred up here to MSU from Baylor Mark, wish i had known last semester.
I'll be back from school from dec. 22, until january 18th... I'm free all of january. And my place would be open for the get together, or we can just all meet for dinner or something.

Hey! Sorry I haven't chimed in until now. Rich, I'd love for us all to have a BIG TEXAS MOVIEMUSIC.COM YEE-HAW GET TOGETHER! That'd be a lot of fun. Let's plan something... and, I'm sure we could do a REAL BarBQ at my place (as opposed to the "cookout" we had in Los Angeles!... which was still great). Just gotta check with that RENTS. ummm... PA-RENTS, that is.

    Jeron

PS- Perhaps we could even persuade good ol' JJ to hope on over from Lubbock. I bet he'd go for that.

man, I had no idea there were this many people in the dallas area. Thats Great! We'll have a blast no matter what we end up doing... a dallas moviemusic party, very cool. Of course, this is definately not limited to people in Dallas, anyone who wants to come, come on! By the way guys, if its a barbQ you want to do... my family has a ranch outside of Waco, and plenty of room, heck, we could have a genuine Texas ranch/soundtrack barBQ, might be cool!

    country/western music.. i think not,
in my 6 disc changer in my car right now is Rambo, K2, Broken Arrow, Small Soldiers, Gone in 60 seconds, and Bond Back in Action 2. I think I'm one of the only texas that despises country music. But I do ride a horse to class up here in montana though.

I like GOOD country music ... it does exist ... Johnny Cash, for instance.

Some years back I rented a car in Los Angeles that was so cheap, it not only didn't have power steering, but didn't even have a CASSETTE PLAYER! Hence I wound up dialing the radio a lot. I forget what was playing on the country station to draw me in, but I became somewhat addicted. I'm still haunted by one song called "Something In Red" (more of a ballad, perhaps, than a stereotypical country song). On the other hand, that was also the summer when you could NOT get away from "Achy Breaky Heart" ... so I wound up listening mostly to KFI Talk Radio. Oh, that wacky Rush, Dr. Laura, and John & Ken! (Mr. KFI too, didn't mean to leave HIM out ...)

It's about 4 hours away, but still in Texas. Houston, Texas that is.

I have lived in Texas most of my life. I don't own a gun, I don't own a cowboy hat (Although I have a really nice fedora like the one Nick Nolte wore in Cannery Row), I have never owned boots and I don't drive a pickup. I can pronounce my "G"'s and I say "You All" instead of "Yawl". I say "Pop" instead of "Coke" when I want a soda.

Hahaha... that's great. Actually, when it comes to how I act - there are two sides to me. I'm either REALLY Texan... or hardly Texan. When I want to have an accent, I'm horrible about it (yeah, I've got family from East Texas. That's where it's really bad.)... but usually I speak with an accent that's uncharacteristic of the stereotypical Texan. I *do* say "Y'all" no matter what. "You All"'s are very infrequent with me.

And last but not least, I'm an Abercrombie/Gap/Structure kid. Cowboy attire has never been a thing with me! Though, strangely enough... one of my friends (who normally dresses "the trend," recently went out and bought a pair of Wranglers, some boots, and a water resistant Cowboy hat. He's also started dipping... I guess some just think it's cool. Eck... not me!

Anyway... yeah, let's pick a date guys! We need to plan this thing so it can happen.

    Jeron
