...in my humble opinion, of course.

    1) ALL THE FRIENDS (#11) - first heard when the three astronauts talk at Chedale's home. The same music is played again when Sinise is watching his dead wife's video.

    2) A WIFE LOST (#5) - not featured in the movie. I supose it was composed for the scene Sinise is watching the video, but...

    3) TOWARDS THE UNKNOWN (#6) - underscores the first accident with the meteors and Robbins' search outside the ship.

    4) SACRIFICE OF A HERO (#8) - the long, haunted space walk scene, concluding with Robbins death.

    5) AN UNEXPECTED SURPRISE (#10) - Chedeale goes insane and tries to kill Sinise.

    6) AND AFTERWARDS? (#4) - begins when Cheadeale shows the Face to the rest of the crew. Most of the sound effects in the rest of the cue can't be heard on film, but some underscores their attempt to send the right signals.

    7) ECSTASY OF MARS (#7) - the Face's door opens...

    8) A MARTIAN (#2) - ... and the secret of Mars is revealed by a cheesy CGI effect.

    9) A WORLD WHICH SEARCHES (#3) - Sinise decides to stay an bids farewell to the others...

    10) WHERE? (#9) - the resolution music.

    11) A HEART BEATS IN SPACE (#1) - the actual End Title, but lacks the trumpet solos you can hear with the movie on the first part of the cue.

The right sequence of the album makes even a better listen of this outstanding score.

    I agree!

have you had a chance to hear Morricone's other works from this year?

I have not, as of yet.

    Nope.

But people told me CANONE INVERSO is outstanding and the movie is somehow similar to THE RED VIOLIN. Is it?
