Awesome! It's divided into sections. Very cool. I'm supposing "Qui-Gon and Darth Maul Meet" is the track we've come to know as "Duel in the Desert." I sure hope so! That's one of my faves.Jeron

Blue is my favorite color ... and I've always liked objects darkly tinted ...So yes, I like the cover.
However, some of those track titles are hilarious, with my favorite being "The Queen and Her Group Sneak Back to the Palace." Some of these seriously need a little condensing.
Ultimately, though, all that matters is the music, and I'm looking forward to hearing it all come November.

Ugh! That's gotta be the ugliest cover for an important release of a must-have score! The tracklistings could have been better, some of it are quite lame, like Hail to the Winner, Anakin Skywalker; Anakin, Podracer Mechanic; and a few more.
But no matter how bad the cover is, or how lame the tracklists are, my money is in for this one!

I can't wait to pick this up. But I'd rather just have the Star Wars Episode I logo over black than that cover. You'd think they could come up with something better than that. Oh well, I'm not listening to the cover. The music counts.

I personally like the cover art. More than the original release, that's for sure. That was so uncreative.More importantly, I guess the track listing means that sadly we're going to get the version of the final battle used in the film.
Or do you still think we could get the one Williams originally composed?

I was wondering that myself. For some reason I'm more interested in hearing the music that didn't make it into the film, than having all of the music that did. I guess this gives Sony a reason to release "Star Wars: Episode One: Ultimate Super Awesome Fantastic Edition" in the not-too-distant future...

Didn't they say we'd get all of the music as Williams composed it? I don't see the point in putting tons of tracks from the edited movie version of DOTF on this album - from what I remember, much of it was just made of repeating the same excerpts of the music?NP: Logan's Run (Goldsmith)

Based on the way they have the tracks broken into "chunks", my bet is that each "chunk" is a continuous suite of music with track skips throughout each "chunk." Also, my hunch is that it will be a mix between the original "Great Duel" suite that Willaims composed and the musical hack that appeared in the film. They surely would not put the score as it appears in the film, as it makes little musical sense in a lot of places. We'll find out in time!

While I generally agree that it is sh*tty that Lucasfilm has the "rape the customer for every possible penny" approach to marketing, part of me does understand why they did the soundtrack release the way that they did. There are many people out there who like the music in SW1, but who probably would have not purchased a $35 "Ultimate Edition" if it had been the only version of the soundtrack available. For example, my parents, who are retired, like the music, but don't care about having EVERY NOTE of music from the film (like I want), and would certainly not get an expensive, ultimate edition. However, they did like the music enough to drop $12 for the one that was released, and are perfectly content. So, while I agree that they should only release "complete" scores, I do understand why they do not in cases like this.
Just my two cents... :-)

'I' also will NOT buy this, WHY was this not released in it's entirety first time around?
It's not as if this was gonna be a non seller?!

While this is low on my want list (since for $30, I could buy two CDs of scores that I don't already own), I am pleased to see that "The Flag Parade" finally gets its own track.I'll probably pick this one up eventually, but since I still haven't picked up the Rhino Superman yet, the new TPM release will have to wait a bit.

Hmmm, I'll probably end up paying only $24.00 for mine maybe even cheaper. I guess Texas is prety cheap when it comes to CD prices. When the original Trilogy special edition sets came out they were only $21.99 and Superman was the same as well.
