If my memory serves me correctly, Shaiman was nominated for an Oscar for Patch Adams and The American President.

Personally, I can't wait for more of his work.

Shaiman was also Oscar-nominated for THE FIRST WIVES CLUB. Two songs he worked on, for SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE and SOUTH PARK, were also nominated for Oscars. His score for SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE was nominated for the British Academy Award. And he shared the Best Score award with Trey Parker for SOUTH PARK, as given by BOTH the Chicago AND Los Angeles Film Critics Associations. I think they might have gotten a special mention from the New York critics as well (they don't normally give out film music prizes, so my memory may be shaky here.)

His next picture according to the Internet Movie Database is going to be THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE. It also indicates that some of his music from THE AMERICAN PRESIDENT appeared in the porn film SAVING RYAN'S PRIVATES ... I've been hoping for a SOUTH PARK score promo myself, had heard a rumor or two about it, have yet to see one.

Shaiman's not on "New Groove" any more... It's Debney.

(sigh) the infinite fallibility of the IMDb ... thank you Jeron, for clearing that up.

I talked to Shaiman awhile back. He at one time was going to put a promo out, but after the Academy dropped off the,Best Original Score For A Comedy award, he decided not to put one out. I recently asked him about it and he said that he really loves the score and wishes people could hear it but he has to forget about it know because of all the projects he has now. He did note that he might be in talks for a compilation cd which will have some score tracks from South Park. But there is no promo and has never made a copy for anyone so there is no bootleg out there of it. I'm even friends with on of the guys at hos agency and he told me he's been waiting for a copy of South park from Marc, but he's just to busy now.
There is a bootleg out there but has sfx in it. It's ok. Mostly the "hell" scenes and the war scenes have the most sfx in it.
The rest barly has any sfx in it.
