...With an original score by...(drum roll please...)

    Justin Caine Burnett??

    Paul S. Henning .... orchestrator??
    Wataru Hokoyama .... orchestrator??
    Jack Smalley .... orchestrator??

Who the F**k are these people? Are they going for an Indie composer because they think its cheeper? I just hope the music doesn't turn out cheesy.

In any case, to check out news, see pictures, and download the recently released European trailor, check it out at www.dndmovie.net

This film looks quite promising. If only it were rated "R"...

Wait, wait, wait a moment! Aaron, golllleeee! Calm down. Musically, this film is in good hands. I know Justin Burnett... and definitely one to keep an eye on. This is his first big film, which is great! He's a VERY cool guy, young (mid to late 20's) - and from Oklahoma. That should say it all!

I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with him while I was making my rounds at Media Ventures last month. Now just hold on a second before you say "What?! Media Ventures? NO!" Don't fret, guys. First of all, I think everyone knows that I think MV is great, so if the score were "in that style," I wouldn't mind. The fact of the matter is: Justin was Zimmer's assistant for quite a good while before going independent. He doesn't have a deal with MV, so I wouldn't put him in that category. When I asked him about D&D, he said "they" wanted something BIG - and something VERY John Williams. He said they recorded it in Australia to reduce costs... and that it's a pretty massive thing.

So don't worry about it... if anything, it's gonna be great. I'll get in touch with Justin and see if I can't find out anything else.

Jack Smalley has worked as an orchestrator for Richard Band for years.

I know it's one of those kind of unpleasant concepts, but there is life after Goldsmith.....

....so grab your earphones, dig up your copies of "Legend" and "The Omen", hit the "repeat" button, and prepare yourself....

But otherwise, it's true--New Talent will be popping up from time to time. Which is much preferable to the alternative: Scores being scrapped altogether, in favor of pop albums equivalent to a top 10 radio hits compilation.
