Would anyone have an track listing of the CD? Either way, I might pick it up, though I'd like to ask just how good is it?
BTW, when is it being released?

Thanks!

Originally, I referred to the main title clip as "Zimmer-esque", but I must admit, it has grown on me. I can't wait.NP - Bernstein by Bernstein

The score as featured in the film was unimpressive. Not at the fault of John Debney, but because the movie never game him a chance to shine or burst out into a full statement of a theme. All that I remember were slow string compostions, much like the slow parts of Rudy, during the contemplative scenes during the middle of the film, and a piece towards the finale where some suspense action music is combined with some rock and synth beats. The ending of the film featured a song, however, so John Debney's score in the film was not given an opportunity to resolve itself.
Unless there are pieces from the score on the album that were not in the film (hopefully an actual ending), I can't see myself buying this one.
I'm hoping for the best.

Yeah, anyone else notice how he's starting to sound a little like Zimmer and Conti; I'm reffering to The Replacements and tha Jordan film.

I think it's simply just a case of what the "higher powers" wanted for those two films (Replacements / Jordan to the Max). I have a hard time believing Debney has actually adopted this style, though he emulates it quite well.Jeron

Well... I counted up all the minutes of score we're gonna be getting. Here's what I came up with: NOT ENOUGH! I'll still get the cd just because it looks like a lot of fun, but still... hmmm. Maybe that's all the music Debney composed. If so, asking for more is purely nonsensical.Jeron

Just another sneaky way of Varese giving us longer releases this year like they said they would. Did see what they did to The Watcher? 14 min of silience? Or Urban Legend 2, a hidden 25th cartoonish track.Any word on Gone in 60 Sec? I bet a 10 min track of car enigines roars!! :-)

I guess this release will have around 10 more seconds of Rabin's score than the song album? Yes, I'll snatch this one up right away. Mostly because I would like to hear Robert Duvall sing "All The Small Things."NP: Broughton's "Young Sherlock Holmes"

By the way, after seeing the Replacements tracklisting, I thought I would say "Buy with caution." It looks like the album contains the same cues from the movie. Read my previous comments on the score in this thread for the reason for this warning.

Just how much score vs. songs is there? I would hope, it is at least half the running time! Since the songs aren't the reason to pick it up IMO!
As for FONT 48, I assume it/he/she, it is an synth player, like the one who was listed on End of Days. Well, I sure hope so!

Sean, Font48 is a rap/funk group that Debney worked with. Their contributions are minimal, though a little annoying. Debney composed a really annoying cue called "R.O.W.D.I.E." where cheerleaders are screaming those letters w/ an underscore behind them. This appears twice in the score...Like Crono/Kyp said, everything that is untouched by Font48 and the goofy ROWDIE song is great. The songs included are fun - just because of what they are. Overall, yes - I would have liked more score... but heck, it's a good football cd! For the average listener it's decent fun.

It's an OK score. I also picked up the Remember The Titans soundtrack. It has 1 score track from Trevor Rabin which it's 7:25 long. And it's great. I think it's the best music I have ever heard him do. It's all a medley. And mostly just a full orchestra with just alittle synth. I hope a score release will come out for this one
