Remember The Titans is coming out pretty soon, and I have found out the truth. This film will be a bogus lie, for everything about the film is wrong. My father went to that high school, T.C. Williams, the first few years(When the movie takes place) and he says it was a horrible school. See what T.C. Williams did was ship all of the people from Hammond I believe it is, over to TC in order to mix races. The prob was that what they did in shipping them over was wrong, they did not have the rights to do so, they could ship teachers, but not students. ANyhoo it was a bad school in logic, and in teachings, and there were huge race riots every week. BUT the football team the TITANS were the best. Unbeatable actually. They wanted my Dad on the team but he refused to because the coach, the guy Washington is playing was a piece of filth. He did drugs with the players, my dad caught him in the locker room, and was just one of those horrible people. He was a horrible person, who was not a great coach. The other coach was best actually, but the film will treat him as satan. Anyhoo, the film will show Denzel as a great guy, good coach, doing something for a cause, when that is all bogus. The film will show it as landmark in human spirit, when it was not. I can go on and on, all I ask of you is to not believe anyhting true in REMEMBER THE TITANS.

Braveheart,The Patriot,U-571....countless westerns....The list goes on and on when it comes to Hollywood portraying real life characters and real life events!

...And I'm sure Hollywood will continue to perpetrate a re-invention of world history for many years to come....unfortunately.

Don't worry, DjC. EVERY movie tries to be a landmark in human spirit, because those are what bring in the "could be an Oscar winner ads" which result in moolah.

My expectations are not high for this anyway.
Besides, Trevor Rabin is scoring it. For an action film, that may work, but for a landmark of the human spirit, it doesn't sound to me like the filmmakers are trying hard enough.

But that's just my opinion guys...

I won't be in line for this one.

Well, all this is about par with my reaction to the film. Films are not about reality. To assume the Titans were actually great human beings AS WELL AS great football players (the same going for management) is ludicrous. It's a movie. Some people are saying it'll be the best Bruckheimer movie ever made. Here's my problem with it: regardless of the truth of what really happened- the American public isn't going to care. They'll see a blurb about these facts on Extra! and that'll be it. They'll go on to the next movie in September- if there's another one worth seeing. Movies are not supposed to be about truth- you can take the feeling you get from them and get a proverb or two, but otherwise- it is entertainment. Believability and how good it can be is another issue altogether. Besides, I don't think it's going to be believable for one reason: there's a skinny white kid who dances to Buck Owens in the trailer- no White kid that skinny plays football, I don't care what period in history it is!!! It's like saying that prison can be an actually anal retentive experience! (Not that I would know, but since I've seen Shawshank Redemption, I must be an expert, right? - Notice the topic-related sarcasm.)

Shoot, that's nothing. Much ado was made here in L.A. about "Hurricane" being a lot of bunk. A number of articles were written, and there's a whole website devoted to exposing a lot of additional facts of the case and about Carter. It made a clear enough case for me to rethink his innocence. It sort of ruined the movie for me, but I'd rather be more informed. They basically just made a manipulative movie.

The main thing that is pi$$ing me off the most, is that hollywood is going to portray the Denzel Washintong charceter as a hero, as a great human being, when he was far from that.

More info??? Y or N? If u want more info just say again.
