    Yuck!

Yeah yeah I'm whining but hey! This music is awful. It was a forgone conclusion that BEING Star Trek and having the Paramount logo all over it that we'd AT LEAST hear the familiar 8 note tune; but so far nothing. They did bother to get Michael Dorn and Patrick Stewart but no decent music. And, unlike the Jurassic Park game you can't listen to it in your CD player (not that I'd want to).

The game? So far is pretty good if you dug Colony Wars. Great sound too.

I guess I was just hoping for good Star Trek-type music...whatever THAT is.

I'm just thrilled by the upcoming Star Trek game by LucasArts - by the same group that made the X-Wing series, I think. These still rank as my favourite games, and they not only have great graphics and music (particularly before they started using tracks from Williams' scores and used original music), but they also have a very good gameplay. I think it'll be something in the vein of Starfleet Academy, only that I trust LucasArts to make it really well. And the music for LucasArts games is usually very good.

Marian, the day LucasArts does Star Trek is the day I spontaneously, without warning, begin speaking in French. To my knowledge, the only companies w/ a Star Trek license are Interplay and Activision. To even think that LucasArts would do a Star Trek game is silly in itself! Surely you are thinking of Star Wars.

Good point. Thinking about it, it may not be LucasArts, but it's certainly the Totally Games (the team around Lawrence Holland that already brought as the X-Wing series) who are doing it:

(I just noticed that it says "Activision" at that page. Let's hope the music will be good anyway).

Oh yeah... Bridge Commander - can't wait for this one. I've been eye balling it ever since it was announced... looks promising!
