Does it matter? I was perfectly happy using the FSM board way back when. Then suddenly it was gone. Then I found THIS one, which I'm very happy with. Now the FSM is back. I GUESS I could visit both but...I guess I could have WORSE problems to worry about too.

I'll be visiting both! I like reading all the posts, and now there'll be double to read. I've discovered a lot of information and scores that I didn't know about in the last 8 months here, and before at the FSM board.I just ignore all the irrelevant postings and rantings and flamings as if it never happened. I'm not going to bother with all the yeow yeowing and stuff.
See ya at both places!

I will definitely visit both sites consistently. I've made too many friends here to just up and leave, and I have other friends at FSM who won't come here.
So, I've got two homes now!

I plan to visit both. I used to frequent PeterK's other site and monday night chats until he left so I went FSM until I found PeterK's new site. So I don't see a problem with both cause I visit other sites as well.

And even if I would ever visit one of those aforementioned sites, you'd never see me posting anything there. Nope. Never. Nothing at all. Zip.

Oh, honest to freaking god...what's the big deal?I'm with starblade, ignore the flaming, there's plenty of that everywhere. As Chris K mentions, there are folks here who weren't at FSM I've enjoyed talked with (and some who apparently WERE there & I didn't know it, hmmm, starblade?) so I'm not about to abandon this ship.
Can't we all just get along...

I sometimes wonder about it all myself...Debi, this event has to play itself out. It's like folks are moving on from puberty to adulthood or something. I am just going to have fun with it!

Of course it is ridiculous. I have said it before and I'm saying it again: I'm not here because of the label of the board, I am here (or at FSM) because of the people who post here (or there). I see no reason to "jump the boat", nor do I see a reason to not return to FSM again as well. I have felt very welcome at this board when I originally started posting here... why should I leave now? Frankly the "loyalty question" is a non-existent one IMO.

MY problem isn't "loyalties," but the appearance that there's no way to register at the New Board without giving away your e-mail. I know too many of you freaks as it is.
If I gave away my e-mail, I might as well post under my real name. Hmm, maybe it's time.

I wonder if I should erase threads like this. In January, I would have, simply because it deepens some imaginary chasm that divides the two places. But of course, I would be hung with people crying "CENSORSHIP" all over again. So.... what to do, what to do. Maybe all the movie music web sites should consolidate so there is only one place to go??? Ehhh, now THERE's an idea!PeterK

Well, I never knew about the old FSM board before it closed but I have been here since day one so I consider Moviemusic.com my Film Music homepage. I'm sure though, that if my travels take me over to the FSM Board from time to time and there are some interesting posts there I will move between the two. I would just like to say that it will be a shame to lose anyone from here who came over from the old FSM board and decided to only visit there out of feelings of loyalty. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter where anyone is from originally, we have a great community here and long may it continue. I have made some great friends on this board and hope to make many more in the future! Well theres my "tuppence worth of thoughts"!!

By creating this post I hope that I didnt elude that I WANTED TO JUMP SHIP HERE. Because I DONT.[insert sincere-tone here]
MY REASON FOR MAKING THIS POST WAS JUST TO SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE WERE GOING TO USE BOTH; and the only reason I used the word "loyalties" was because I can bet that there are some of you out there that WILL ONLY USE ONE.I used to ONLY use FSM...simply out of ignorance to other sites. Then it was taken down. Then I found this one RELATIVELY RECENTLY......and I totally dig it. (To tell you the truth is there REALLY THAT MUCH of a difference?)
ANYWAY...Now that FSM is back up I'm sure I'll use them both. ITS JUST A PAIN IN THE ASS (more or less) to have to check 2 websites now.
YES, ya'll should consolidate score-sites PETER...AND NO. Variety is the spice'o'life no?

I'll visit both... as soon as I recall my password from the other.I have enjoyed many of the discussions I've had here, and I loved the "Now Playing" custom found here.
So, even though I only came here because the FSM board went down, I found much to enjoy here, so I see no reason why I can't visit both sites.
I love posting the reviews here, too.

Nothing really stays the same.
Everything is in a continual state of gradual change.
Therefore I believe that the MovieMusic board will morph into the FSM board, and the FSM board will morph into...well, you get it.
Just about everybody here has touched just about everybody there, and it's only a matter of time until we all live together in an abandoned warehouse on the shore of Lake Ontario.

Hey, are you pitching to CBS another Survivor show? Sounds like it. Boy, a lot of people would get thrown out the first day.
But why Lake Ontario? Why not someplace warm most (if not all) of the time - like Jeron's house?

Still here. Oh, I'll monitor things over at FSM......may even weigh in, occassionally. Lots of folks that I like will be hanging there.Curiously, the old site has grown to become a sort of Shangri-La to its defenders; absence makes the heart grow fonder, I guess. Quite frankly, there were some real jerks there (and I STILL apologize for "us FSM-ers" for bringing that sorry lot with us). I loved a lot of the rambling, off-topic, philosophical discussions that went on at the old FSM board.
But I have ALWAYS preferred the "vibe" here.
My Laura would tell you that I can be obstinate. She would be correct. That stubbornness extends to my loyalties, too.
My ante is on the table. Deal me in here.

I would LOVE to have the time you guys have. As it happens, however, I can't sit in front of the university computer all day long. That's why I have to make priorities.I'll visit the FSM board first (since that's my "place of internet birth", so to speak), and if I have some time left, I'll swing by this one. Nothing dramatic - just a practical decision.

MWRuger,I agre with you about Ontario, but Chicago and New York can get pretty darn cold as well. Chicago especially.
That's why I suggested Jeron's house. Texas is warm mostly all the time, or we could go to southern Arizona. Or even, a beautiful tropical island with native girls?!?

Actually, I am of the opinion that San Diego is the most beautiful weather locale in teh U.S.Nothing against Jeron's house (although he MIGHT have some kind of Star Trekian climate control going on there, who knows?), but I am happy where I am at.
My only concern is this: who is gonna step in between the Elfmaniacs and Zimmerites when they start to get into it again?
Not I...I'll just put on some Goldsmith and watch form a corner somewhere....

Kevin, I live in Texas. It is too hot and humid. I want my abandoned warehouse in a nicer clime.I lived in Wisconsin and I picked Chicago and New York because they actually have seasons, not just variations on one theme.
You know, San Diego isn't bad and the shopping in Southern California is excellant. But I am thinking that the abandoned warehouses out there are pretty steeply priced. (Of course so is New York and Chicago)
Maybe Atlanta? Good weather, decent prices, shopping isn't bad (Oxford books rocks!) who knows?

You mean "Hot"lanta? I used to have a friend down there (used to, because I don't think of her as a friend anymore) who says it's almost as hot and muggy as south Florida or Houston.I've heard great things about San Diego, so that's an idea.
I remember an interview years ago with Pat Sajak. He was a "weather guy" in SD before being a game show host. He said that except maybe for 3 or 4 days in February, you could record your forecast and use it the rest of the year, and never come into the station.

I'll have to check it out myself maybe next year. I'm planning on visiting a friend of mine in LA.

Hmmm... I lived in South Florida for a year and half and I found Houston to be worse for heat and humidity.I have probably been in Atlanta about 4 months all around, during every season but spring. It seemed pretty good. San Diego is probably fine, but living in Texas again, I miss ACTUAL seasons.

I live in Long Beach. That is in Southern California. The weather is nice, but gets boring. Sunshine, sunshine, sunshine. I need seasons. I miss seasons. Yet I go skying alot, so that helps. Anywhoo, don't like most of the people and I am convinced most of the people don't like me.Oh well, another planet sounds good just about now...
