Could anyone give me some info on this please? I noticed that the DVD (region 2) has an isolated score and I tend to buy DVD's specifically for this reason. Now can anyone give me info on it please?.. bearing in mind,I havent seen the movie or heard the score and have only heard a few soundclips. I read a few poor reviews of the movie which put me off a bit but Ive also been told Armstrong's music is usually good. Also, how much score is there approx?..as I hate scores that are only 20-30mins long...especially as, in this case, I want value for money. Thanks for any info! Gaeposted 08-09-2000 03:40 PM PT (US)

I don't remember the music too much, but I thought the movie was pretty good. I'm planning on getting the iso off of the dvd as well.

the bone collector is by craig armstrong - that means buy it. at least... think thats what will become the common phrase as his career gets bigger. one day he will earn the same response as a goldsmith or williams score does now. he has a talent that stands out among all the younger composers. this score is incredible. i absolutley love it. and the score is a nice length so u shouldnt be dissapointed.

Cole's ALWAYS on the ball - but I must step in and comment on one thing. Sure, Craig might stand out - but not any more than awesome newcomers such as Michael Giacchino, Jeremy Soule... and I might even go as far as saying Joel McNeely and David Arnold, who are still quite "young." Sure, Craig's music is great - and it hits a different chord than the others. But then, Giacchino's music is vastly different than Arnold's, etc.Alright - sorry - WAY OFF TOPIC, I know... but I felt inclined to start something with Cole for no apparent reason. That's always my goal when posting various thoughts such as these. Duh.

Be aware guys that the Bone Collector DVD available now does not have the ISO score. The version with the ISO score will be available 8/14, next monday.NP - "Das Boot", Klaus Doldinger

Thanks for all your comments! I think I'll rent it and have a good listen first before I decide. DVD's are still quite expensive here in the U.K. ( about £20...$30-$35?) so we have to be more selective with which ones to get. Ed, the region 2 version, which is the one I was talking about, already has the Isolated score on...I've seen it on the cover. Thanks again!

sheesh jeron...u always goot pick some kinda bone with me (hehe - bad pun)craigs music is so mucg more original and unique sounding than the others u mentioned....to be perfectly honest...i bet if u had someone listen to arnold mcneely giaccino and armstrong and told them who they were....and then made someone listen to them blind...they would be able to pick out arstrong b/c of his distinct sound....i am not saying that he is any better or worse...just that his style is fresh and unique and unlike anything i have heard b4 - whereas arnold and mcneely have obvious stylistic influences from allready established composers. u wanna keep discussin this or what? dont make me get technical

Craig Armstrong is a great composer IMO... I'll admit, I've only heard 3 of his scores... Romeo & Juliet, Plunkett and Macleane, and Bone Collector, but I love them all. He's bound to get big sooner or later, at least I hope he does.

Why would anyone buy such a bad movie? I suggest one should buy Se7en instead...No crime thriller comes close to Se7en. Bone Collector, ah yeesh it stunk.

I saw the bone collector for the first time last night ( it was shown on UK Channel 5 ) In the scene where the killer goes into a bar to find another victim the music played in the bar was excellent . Does anyone know the name of the song played in the bar ? I don't think it's part of the original movie score , I think it's some artists , or groups , song that's played . I watched at the end of the film to see what it was , but there were no credits for music ( apart form music director ) The song played at the end of the movie was , Don't Give Up , by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush , but that wasn't credited either . Can anybody help with my question ? Thanks in advance .cheers ,
Slick .
