Um, has this been delayed again to, what am I hearing, the 21st?

No. It came out yesterday on schedule. I ordered mine from Barnes & Noble, and they shipped it out Monday, so I should have it today or tomorrow.

Many people who bought it from buy.com got theirs last Friday and Saturday, before street date.

How come I can't find it at any Best Buy or Circuit City then?

    Anyone know the story?

Yeah, yesterday I went all over town to get it and (aside from the weird looks) I got "It's not out yet" to "we wont be carrying it."

Extremely odd was an article in the local paper mentioning Anchor Bay and its release. I thought I might be the only one in San Antonio that remembered this film...guess not.

I don't have a DVD player, but I was interested in getting the widescreen "international version" on video. After checking about seven different places, I finally just special ordered it from Sam Goody, where I was told that it was released on Tuesday, but that particular location was not stocking it.

My local Tower has it now, and I picked it up (the two disc version). I'd only seen the movie once, about twelve years ago on HBO and wasn't impressed, but after seeing the "international" cut first, it's a little better with widescreen and Goldsmith's score sounds fine (I still can't find the CD). I wish he'd done a better quote of Williams' Superman theme for that one moment than he did, because I remember how I hadn't been able to hear it the first time around. You have to be listening hard to pick it up (the fanfare might have worked better for that moment)
