Guess I missed something... but nothing worth seeing.
Say, I keep hearing about this Dex person (and I assume from the topic it was a case of MIS) but I dare say "we" don't all know what happened, Mark. I've only been here a year, and I guess I missed whatever this Dex thing was.
Been on the net for a while though, so let me ask a quick Q: why is it when guys pretend to be different people they pretend to be female? Seems to me that would be the surest way to give themselves away (especially to the REAL females around... few though they are...)?

Will you be posting as "Mel Carrington" then, Timmer?

Seriously though, I agree as well. And it wouldn't hurt to display each post's IP, like the FSM board does it. This should at least help against SOME cases of multiple identities.

If there are going to be handles, then you should get used to the idea that you are never going to be 100% certain that x, y and z aren't all actually A.

My approach is to take each post on its own merits. This takes away any potency the multiple handle might have. I don't have to waste precious time trying to find inconsistencies between posts (Who cares?) or find similarities between different handles. (Again, who cares?)

I happen to post with my real name, but there's no way for you to prove it and I don't know why anyone would care. If I post as Jam Buncher Freak Plunger one day and PithiusMcOle the next and those posts are equally compelling, what difference does it make under what name the were posted?

While on the topic of rules-of-thumb, I generally avoid threads over a certain length becuse the odds are good that it's just a bunch of bickering.

I don't like being nasty. Not one bit. But why is this message board so hostile?

I'm new and never ever started fights with anyone. So Mark, I'd like you to get your story straight here. I said something about the FSM message board seemingly like a pleasant place, and Andre attacked me. I found out that he was banned, and that infuriated him even more.

So please, try and get your head out of your ass long enough to know that I, in fact, am a girl, I am not Dex (whoever he is - I've never even seen his posts), and I am not Big Bear. So sorry to disappoint you Mark, but you can put down your little magnifiying glass, inspector. Besides, the ones who are the most suspicious are the most guilty, Mark.

As I told Peter, if pushed, I push back. Andre pushed first. Period.

Whew, go on a hike for a few hours and come back to.... I haven't felt this kind of excitement since Dex was outted.

Emo, you ask "why is this message board so hostile?"

This kind of thing happened before, and people wuz up in arms. They don't like to be taken for idiots. I am one of them. I am not suggesting you are anyone other than yourself, Emo. However, I am interested now and will have a look at the log files and IP addresses to see if anything comes up. It's pretty simple, so it won't take too much of my time.

I will note, though, if I put Big Bear in your shoes and words, he would fit snugly!

"As I told Peter, if pushed, I push back. Andre pushed first. Period."

Those are Bear's words for Andre! Ah well, maybe many feel the same way, and this is just a coincidence. The observation certainly is intriguing, and so far this is unfolding nearly the exact same way the Dex/Dantoris thing came falling apart.

It's interesting to say the least. I let you know what I find, if anything, from the log files.

Ready to place bets? Emo is Big Bear, that's my bet.

And it is the same person that posts at FSM Kindergarten Board with the charming handle of "FOREIGNERS ARE STUPID", who did there the same thing is doing here now - create new threads or enter in every discussion just to provoke and bash me, making it look as if I started all the chaos.

The only diference is on the other board she/he/it had the total approval of "SheriffJoe" (sic) - since he used it as an excuse to complete his personal vendetta and ban me.

I am sure Joel Rixman and his pets are behind all the havoc that is happening here. They are quite obssessed with me now, these nazis.

And they are doing all this using the name of FSM, giving it an even worst reputation than it already have...

    Really pathetic!

The good news is that PeterK isn't so naive as some people think he is...

No, you make it seem that way. Why? BECAUSE YOU DO.

Emo: "I think the FSM is quite pleasant."

Lux: "Oh look, it's one of JoelRixman's pets!"

I liked something that - unbeknownst to me at the time - doesn't like you, and you talked **** about me without EVER talking to me. I mean EVER talking to me. You didn't even know a single thing about me, but because you are so obsessed with the FSM board and the fact that you were banned, that the mere mention of it as being a nice place sent you on a tirade. So please Andre, stop acting like a victim. You started this and you know it. I was new, I happen to like a few people that post on FSM - a board you so desperately want to be a part of but CAN'T BE - and that's the reason why you targeted me. It's really that simple.

    SNAP SNAP!
That's the sound of Andre the caged animal trying to snap at me from the corner it's backed into.
