I have a CD entitled Royal Philharmonic Orchestra Presents Classic Movie Themes, which contains popular themes from various movies such as Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gone with the Wind, Out of Africa, etc. The CD is from LaserLight (LaserLight 12 682). However, the CD has basically no notes and the conductor is not listed. Does anybody have any idea of the conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on this CD?

Also, I've got a CD entitled Music of the Galaxies, featuring the London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ettore Stratta and containing themes from selected sci-fi/space films, a few of them pretty obscure. It's from Excelsior (EXL-2-5231). It has even fewer notes than the other CD. The composers of the pieces are not even mentioned! So, I'd like to ask if anybody knows who composed the Main Title from The Day Time Ended. The IMDb lists 2 composers, Richard Band and James Watson. Which one did the Main Title, or did both of them collaborate on it? The IMDb doesn't even have an entry for The Lost Galaxy. What was that, a movie or a TV series? And, does anybody know who scored it?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

Kris, I've got "Music from the Galaxies" and on the inside sleeve its got all the composers listed!! Have you got a different copy? Anyway, it says "The Day time ended" by (Band) Valentine Music Group Ltd. The movie is from 1980 apparently starring Jim Davis, Dorothy Malone and Christopher Mitchum. Its also known as "Time Warp"...hope that helps. "The Lost Galaxy" was composed by Ettore Stratta, the man himself... I just assumed he wrote it specifically for the album, as he wanted to contribute something as well as just conducting, but I cant say for sure! Gae

Thanks! Mine doesn't have a listing with the composers. The inside cover is just blank.
