I liked Theater of Blood, The Naked Face, Ffolkes, Sphinx, and even though it's the uncool orchestral classic style of Roman drama, Julius Caesar is the best.

I have Chris Kinsinger to thank for introducing me to who I like to call "The
Wolf of Wales" I basically find his music a
little over bearing on his pictures but on a
CD they are outstanding listening. Film music
dosn,t come more emotional than MJL's.
I have his 2 CD set but wish his promo's were
cheaper. Would like to hear his recent Wales
CD.

I liked SPHINX and THE MEDUSA TOUCH and, in particular -- this is when I first took note of his name -- his lovely work on the 1979 British TV cartoon version of THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE (broadcast at least once on American television). Don't have any of his albums, though.NP: X-MEN

I would hope that Mr. Lewis would someday get around to re-recording Julius Ceaser (since the original masters are lost at sea). Also greatly admire the Medusa Touch end title music.

logied, you are so very kind and sweet spirited, and I thank you very much for your mention of me above. The very first time that I ever heard of Michael J. Lewis was back in 1969 when I purchased an LP of The Madwoman Of Chaillot for 25 cents!!! I had not seen the film (WHO DID???), but I played that LP until it was as smooth as a china plate! How I LOVED that score!
Four years later I sat in a movie theatre watching the credits unspool on Theatre Of Blood, and there was Michael once again...and WHAT A SCORE! I hoped to find it on an LP or cassette, but no.
When I first subscribed to FILMSCORE MONTHLY, the magazine was running a full-page ad for Michael J. Lewis's compilation CD, including the two scores that I have already noted, plus many more. I purchased it instantly, and later shared it (via cassette tape) with logied, and many others.I want to hear more of this man's music!

I've gotta say that the 2-CD compilation of his is fantastic. It's quite tricky to find nowadays (I found my copy in a small local classical shop), but if you see it it's definately a MUST.

Check out Michael J, everybody! His music is splendid, and, if the radio interview I heard is anything to go on, he's also a great wit and raconteur.
