To me, Penelope Ann Miller is one of the few actress who look natural in that 30s-style setting, with the beautiful dresses and hairstyles of the era.Others who look natural in the same period would have be Jennifer Connelly in The Rocketeer, Kristy Swanson in The Phantom, Kelly Rutherford (Dixie in Brisco County, and Sandra Bullock in this picture right here.

If you ask me, all these actresses could've existed in the films of the 30s.

mmm, nice. What's that picture of Sandra Bullock from? A model shot or what?I rather liked THE SHADOW at the time, though haven't seen it since. The Goldsmith score is fun, particularly the percussive stuff for Shiwan Khan -- I love the satirical version of his theme that plays over the madhouse finale -- and the piece for the unveiling of the invisible hotel is breathtaking.
The song "Original Sin" has nothing to do with the movie at all, but is enjoyable in a kitschy sort of way, a typically overdone Jim Steinman production, but you gotta love a song that has the word "infinitesimal" in the lyrics.

I have no idea where that Sandra Bullock pictures if from. Most likely it's a model shot. (And quite lovely one, at that!) I found it one night while spending hours looking for pictures of her to add to my site. It's definitely one of my favorites of her.As for that song, I think it's out of place in the movie, but fine on it's own. Though I hate the fact it's on the soundtrack twice, one as in the film, the second a slightly longer version. Those precise few minutes could've been used for more score. The sourse song "Some Kind of Mystery" was fine in the film (only heard faintly), but I think that it, too, could've been excluded from the album in favor of more score.

Sandra Bullock, Benjamin Bratt and Michael Caine were all in the restaurant where I work down here in San Antonio. She was ok.....I guess. Yes she's very attractive but seemed annoyed by the attention she was getting by the tables around her. She specifically asked for an "out of the way table", which is IMPOSSIBLE where I work.
Bratt was ok as well. He seemed a little less aware or affected by his stardom. Handsome and seemingly 8 feet tall.
Now Mr. Caine was a delight!!! The nicest man you could ever want to meet. His sincerity didnt come off as forced like Bullock's.
They were shooting scenes for a film here downtown. Bratt is an FBI agent, Caine is an uncrupulous beauty pageant agent and I guess Bullock is a contestant. I know William Shatner is in it as well as the pageant's MC but alas he was not here.oh well.

Ah, yes. Miss Congeniality (sp?) opens the day before my birthday. Sandra Bullock plays an FBI agent who goes undercover in the pageant for some reason. Ernie Hudson plays her superior. Can't wait!!
