TJ is quickly becoming one of my favorites. I have "Merlin", "Cleopatra", "Dark City", "The Mighty" and "Last of the Mohicans". Are there any other "MUST HAVE" Trevor Jones scores? Also does anyone know why "Last of the Mohicans" was split with Randy Edelman?

I really enjoy his score to GULLIVER'S TRAVELS, sounds a bit like MERLIN.

Here's an interesting Trevor Jones article at Intrada. It mentions the inclusion of Edelman on Last Of The Mohicans. Hopefully, Excalibur will be released at some point; I'd like to hear it.

I agree with you Ed about Trevor Jones. I've just really started to recognize his music and I only have 2 of his soundtracks..The Dark Crystal and Cliffhanger.
Apparently they're both quite rare so I've been lucky to pick them up.I'm going to keep my eye open for Merlin and Cleopatra and when I've got some spare cash I'll get those. I've also seen "Last of the Mohicans" in my local store but as I have'nt seen the movie and the fact that not all the music is by Jones I'm a bit hesitant to get it. It seems to be a very popular score though on this board. Should I buy it? Also, its nice to know that Trevor Jones is relatively young ,49, so we've hopefully got some terrific scores coming up by him in the future. Williams and Goldsmith were at the peak of their creativity in their 40's/50's and this seems true of Jones as well! NP The Dark Crystal****

Just got G.I. Jane...only 3 score tracks, but they are all long and very good.
Gae: see the movie and you'll see why we all love the score.

Didīnt he do The Colour Purple by Spielberg? That was wonderfull. By the way, why didīnt Williams get that job?

    You're thinking of Quincy Jones.

And as why Williams didn't do it, I'm not 100% sure.

Here's a great URL for listening to some scores.

    http://www.BTCRadio.com/

They currently have a long sound clip for Cliffhanger (I just bought a copy of this at ebay). Also, check out the 2 Poledouris scores if you're not familiar with them.
