Warriors of Virtue - Don Davis
    Merlin - Trevor Jones
    Hook - John Williams
    First Knight - Jerry Goldsmith
Alice in Wonderland - Richard Hartley
    Dragonworld - Richard Band
Josh Kirby: Time Warrior - Chapter One: Planet of the Dino-Knights - Richard Band

For the most part in that order. This is of course aside from the obvious Willow and Conan.

    My top three favorites are:

    3. Willow (James Horner) - A classic fantasy score that showcased Horner's TRUE talents. Some of his best themes. Yes, true, many were "borrowed", but never before has he put together the borrowed music so well.

    2. Merlin (Trevor Jones) - Truly excellent, textured, thematic fantasy music. The first cue is among my favorites of any score and the action music is this score is just...indescribable.

    1. Conan the Barbarian (Basil Poledouris) - No explanation needed for this score. One of the best ever composed, and definatly Poledouris's carrer highlight.

This is just a list off the top of my head, but I would include:

Just about any Miklos Rozsa score dealing with the time period, such as EL CID, IVANHOE, KNIGHTS OF THE ROUNDTABLE, etc.

    HENRY V -- William Walton.

GOLIATH AND THE BARBARIANS -- Les Baxter

    THE VIKINGS -- Mario Nacimbene

THE LONG SHIPS -- Dusan Radovic (sp?)

THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER -- David Whitaker

    THE WARLORD -- Jerome Moross

    MARCO POLO -- Les Baxter

THE VIKING QUEEN -- Gary Hughes (excellent score to unfairly maligned Hammer epic)

HELEN OF TROY -- Max Steiner

    ATLAS -- Ronald Stein

Any Italian Maciste epics with scores by Francesco De Masi or Francesco Lavagnino.

NP: Marlin Skiles QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE

Excalibur (Can't beat the "Father" of film music, Wagner himself's Twilight of the Gods)

The Princess Bride - Mark Knopflier

Ever After - George Fenton (Just got this as a used CD, beautiful score!!)

Braveheart - James Horner (Add this to the favorite End Titles board also )

    Willow - James Horner

Krull - Yet another James Horner (Am I seeing a trend here?)

Dragonheart - Randy Edleman (You can blow your powered subwoofer with this one)

    13th Warrior - Jerry Goldsmith

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves - Michael Kamen

    Three Musketeers - Michael Kamen

The Man In The Iron Mask - Nick Glennie-Smith

The Pagemaster - Still another James Horner!

First Knight - Jerry Goldsmith ("Promise Me" is the BEST! I can't wait until my 79min bootleg comes in the mail. Woohoo!)

Even though DragonHeart has been mentioned 50 or so times, I'm going to mention it anyway. Great score!

Also, the TV show, "Gargoyles" (half of the episodes take place in middle-age fantasy settings)

Why hasn't anyone mentioned John Barry's (of 007 fame) The Lion in Winter? Very Medieval. Then there's that Carl Orff Carmina Burana theme (I know, classical) where you'll find O Fortuna, which is prominently used throughout Excalibur, plus HBO used it to good effect as well.

    Nobody's mentioned:

    THE SECRET OF NIMH (Goldsmith)
    BALTO (Horner)
THE BIRTH OF JAPAN (Akira Ifukube)
THE GREAT BANDIT (aka LOST WORLD OF SINBAD, Masaru Sato)
THE KNIGHT AND THE DRAGON (US video title STAR KNIGHT, Jose Nieto)

My very favorite score in this genre is probably CONAN THE BARBARIAN.

I'm glad that someone finally added Legend by Jerry Goldsmith's score as well as Tangerine Dreams. I would like to say that Dark Crystal is #$%^* awesome!! This is by far Trevor Jones's best score ever! Here is one really excellent fantasy score that people left out. It is David Shires score to Return to Oz. This is a cross between Superman and 1920's jazz music (a rag is made one of the themes). Very, very good. Other fantasy/middle ages scores that I like are:
    Braveheart
    Willow
    The Princess Bride
    Hook
