The 1992 TV film on Custer featured a super score by Safan. That 17 min cue "Little Big Horn" is unbelievably good for a TV film. The themes in that long cue are all good. This is still my favorite by him even after all these years. I also like Last Starfighter, Remo Williams and Major Payne and some of his other TV film scores(not recorded-mostly on Lifetime). Just as Fake said back when the CD came out-"and oh, the music", I second that. It is a great score. The soulful music for the aftermath in that long cue is unbelievably powerful. Great stuff. One of the best TV film scores of all time. Best, John.

Hey, thanks for posting about this. It is a really fine piece of work. I used to bring it up at the adult board from time to time.

This is a great score with some very outstanding sections. I had forgotten about it until I recently special ordered it for a customer. Listening to it again rekindles some great scoring moments.Anyway, it never sold and is now in the used store for anyone who wants it... excellent condition CD, but rare.
http://www.moviemusic.com/soundtrack/sonofthemorningstarAnd Scott, Remo Williams is available! I know... unfair of me to carry on like this because your post is 8 years old, but it is what it is. lol.
