I saw the Billy Corgan CD at The Wherehouse today. Now I'm curious. All the credits for the film say "Music by Elia Cmiral and Billy Corgan." Now, the Corgan CD I saw for the first time today, and I know Intrada has the Cmiral CD. Was one score replaced by the other, or is it simply Cmiral's score is on one CD, and Corgan's songs (I think they're songs) are on a separate one?

Can somebody clear up the confusion? Thanks.

I guess they credited both people with work, but only put Corgan's on the commercial CD, and Cmiral's on the promo.

I found that to be an odd score. atmospheric yes, but not real memorable.

    NP -- nothing.

Dantoris, I will help clear up this situation. Okay, first of Billy Corigan's score wasn't rejected. Corigan and Elia Cmiral collaborated on it. I don't know how much score Corigan wrote, but Cmiral wrote 38 minutes of it and it's really good. Second the reason Corgan's score was released was because he's a big name in the rock world so that's a no brainer. Cmiral's score wasn't released because it was recorded in L.A., so reuse fees = Promo. So that's the story.

You've never heard of Billy Corgan, dantoris? Ever heard of the group The Smashing Pumpkins? He's the lead singer.

I actually rather like the Pumpkins' songs "Tonight, Tonight" and "Disarm." They performed "T,T" once on MTV with a live orchestra, which was very interesting because the sound was mixed so that the orchestra was more audible than the Pumpkins themselves.

As for the rest of their material I'm familiar with, I think Dantoris summed it up well.
