Here I've been, lamenting the late Film Score Monthly message board for close to a year, and then all of a sudden I find the whole lot of you HERE! I've no idea how you all agreed to gather here, but I'm glad I found you. I just happened to be checking out the new elmerbernstein.com when I noticed a link to this site, and then...well, here I am. Looks like I have a lot of reading and catching up to do.

So, in the words used so often on the old FSM board:

"Viva los dudos! Viva los dingleberries!"

(For those of you scratching your heads, I'll explain later. And no, I don't speak Spanish.)

Todd, welcome!! It's great to see your name again. Someone found this place while the old FSM board started experiencing all those bugs. There ended up being a secret entrance to the message board but if you couldn't find it then there was no other way in. During that time there were only about six or seven of us that stuck with it to the bitter end. Someone tipped us off to this place and, like rats deserting a sinking ship, we made our way here. Oh, those dingleberries! It's good to see them again.

Hey, good to see you, too! I love the profiles list at this site; that's how I found out that everyone from FSM was here. Of course, among the first names that I checked for were "Latham Conger III" and "Pluto," but they don't seem to be here...at least under those names. However, I did notice that everyone's favorite screen-scroller, Daniel2, is here, so that's some good news, at least.

    Let the dingleberries begin...

I've noticed "NP" on a lot of posts. Does that mean "Now Playing"? If so, does the music have to be playing at the exact time that I post, or can it just be something that I've been playing recently?

    Re: Kinsinger

First, I'd like to thank everyone for their kind words of welcome. It's good to see all of you, too.

Second, I'd like to address the message left by Mr. Chris Kinsinger and, specifically, his inappropriate remarks concerning my person. Let me clear things up right away by saying that I do not know this man. He claims to be someone from the old FSM board, yet I have no recollection of him. He's obviously either confused or playing games with me, though I think the latter is more likely. I don't appreciate being harassed, especially by someone who thinks it's funny to tell me to "keep it zipped." Mr. Kinsinger and I do not have any kind of "male relationship," as his words suggest, nor do I feel that such a topic is appropriate on this message board. I feel deeply insulted, and I'm starting to wonder if this message board is really the kind of environment I wish to converse in. In fact, I'm so morally outraged by Mr. Kinsinger's remarks that I barely have the strength to drop trou and flap my genitals at him.

and i would just like to point out that I was the one who suggested this place as a temporary fallback/regrouping position for our fsm gang in the first place. and I was the one who posted "secret entrance" links here so that people could get back onto the fsmmb in its final weeks, when access would have otherwise been cut off for most participants. so howzabout a lil' credit where credit's due, eh bw?
and the actual number of those of us who stuck it out to the melancholy end was more like thirty, Not six or seven. then, as many of us here will recall, our passionate underground railroad made pk jealous, & he quickly took down All the links. one would've thought he'd've been honored to play exclusive host to the staging of our heartfelt effort, but he soon showed otherwise. this complete disrespecting of our feelings has never been apologized for, nor has it been forgotten-

As for apologies? I thought I did indeed apologize for not allowing the message boards to become a links area. I have enough trouble with all the links posted here to soundtrackmag.com. So much trouble, I've gone ahead and made an internet directory so we can get back to business here.

    Hey Brad,
I'm sending you the "Know It All" award via a friend's Jedi mind powers (he's on vacation, and luckily for me, he's left them behind; you should SEE the women I'm getting, man!). It's the glasses worn by Robert Carradine in the classic 1994 TV film "Revenge Of The Nerds IV: Nerds In Love". I tried getting you the ones as worn by Our Man Skolnick in the original film, but apparently they're at Planet Hollywood Saudi Arabia (it's that and the Saddam costumes from Hot Shots! Part Deux and The Big Lebowski---the latter comes with the bowling shoes). So, I hope you will accept the award with gratitude.
