I don't know if we ever came across this one, so under the threat of being yelled at here I ask anyway...

In your collection with three composers are mostly represented?

I have over 115 cds of John Williams.
    Over 100 of Jerry Goldsmith.
And about 35 (I think) of James Horner.

    Scott

(Okay, okay, so that stupid HTML thing didn't work in the heading...go figure)

hmm Well I don't know the numbers ,but a large majority of it is Hans Zimmer's music, I have just about everything he's done (though he's not my favorite composer).
Then theres James Newton Howard, I'm far from everything though.
    Then would come Basil Poledouris.

Mine´s spread about quite evenly, except for the 80 or so Goldsmiths.
    Besides that I have about
    35 Chris young
    35 Hans Zimmer
    25 Williams
    25 Poledouris
and then as many as I have been able to get of the other composers totaling to about 700-800.

And then I have that Robocop 2 that is my only Rosenman and I really want to get rid of that, so I can say that I don´t have any Rosenman, but don´t want to give it away for free (though have been tempted)

    27 Goldsmith
    6 Doyle
    6 Herrmann
5 Morricone (+2 made from mp3's, but the sound is horrible, so I never listen to them)
    4 Goldenthal

(I count double CDs as 2, but not STTMP, because only 1 of the CDs has score)

Aside from that, there's no composer who has more than 3 CDs in my score collection so far. Well, there's a bit of Korngold, but most of it is spread on several Gerhardt albums.

In my collection, Williams tops the list with 10, followed by Zimmer and Menken (all his Disney movies) with 6 each, and then Goldsmith and Horner (4 each); Elfman, David Arnold and Randy Newman (3 each).

I will have more Zimmer scores coming in (M:I-2 (darn those local distributors!) and The Peacemaker, and maybe Broken Arrow).

I've never counted my collection but I know it's Goldsmith by a mile. I'd guess around 170-200 CDs and LPs of his alone. Williams would be next and the rest is an even smattering.

In my mere 200 cd collection, everyones favorite and mine as well, James "Repeat" Horner is the winner.

    1) Horner 20
    2) Williams 15
    3) Goldsmith 10
    4) Zimmer 8

Hey, I have to admit, the guy writes catchy themes! And If I didn't sell cds back after getting sick of them, I would probably own nearly 20 Williams and Goldsmith soundtracks. The only soundtracks from Horner I ever sold back were "Patroit Games" which was a big yawn and "Jumanji".

Here are my numbers. Bare in mind that the amount I have of each composer doesn't represent my order of "favourites", it's just John Williams' score are easier to come by than Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman.

    11 James Horner
    11 John Williams
    6 Hans Zimmer
    5 David Arnold
    4 Danny Elfman
    4 Thomas Newman
    4 Jerry Goldsmith
    4 Carter Burwell
    4 Basil Poledouris
    3 John Barry
    3 Elliot Goldenthal
    2 Bernard Herrmann

...but I also have a pile of oddities.

Haven't counted in a long time, but Goldsmith is definately at the top with John Barry (at over 100 cd's/lp's) in secound place!, Mike Oldfield and one or two others come last with 1 a piece due to the fact they only composed the one film score.
