Well, I doubt I'm really getting anywhere with PeterK. He seems to be more willing than ever to be a wart remover.I don't know what to say to MWR. It is bad strategy to insult people you hope to convert, but sometimes conversion isn't the goal of tough talk. As long as no one hacked my system or libeled me with unprovable statements, I suppose anything else they do is legal. You say it's easier to say no to rudeness than try to find a line where it is too much. Sure, it's also easier to watch people 24hrs a day so they don't break any laws than to let people have a freedom of action that may potentially affont the social structure. MWR, do you really want a rudeness police on this board or out in life too? Well, maybe you do.

Lou, I am right here. No need to mention me as if I don't come around here! You show doubt you are getting anywhere with me. I've tried to explain myself fully, and have attempted to prove to you that this place is free for all, except for those who come here and state they are not interested in movie music and are only willing to post off-topic, spiteful messages because that's what entertains them. WARTS. As you've understood me, I am the wart remover, but you show no appreciation for it.
Next time you encounter a wart in your life, what are you obliged to do? If you are a man of your words, am I to understand you will not reach for the remover, but accept the wart with open arms and call it "change" ?
I am trying to figure out if you're talking about principles you personally abide by, or are just taking a side in a debate here for the sake of it. Why the doubt?
Talk to me, Lou.

Lou,I am not advocating "rudeness" police. I am advocating that people treat others as I suppose they would like to be treated, here in cyberspace and in the real world as well.
I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this point.
I see no logical reason to be rude to others on this board. There is nothing to be gained and much to be lost.

PeterK--I'm not sure how to reply and if I did would it keep you from removing those "warts" anyway? I'm not just debating for debates sake. I don't think I'd like someone to show up say he hates film music and want to talk about other things and slam all the people here. On the other hand, if it happened, I'd have to hear from a majority of the board posters asking for this person's removal before I acted on my own. Even then I would be reluctant to do it and would ask the board to see if they could really tolerate the "intrusion" before cutting off someone's access to speak.MWR--Actually, I agree with you in many aspects. Rudeness on the board doesn't logically advance things, it probably causes more harm than good. But I think it should be tolerated even if it isn't welcome. If not on this board, then most certainly in real life.
