I bought Mark McKenzie's score to The Disappearance of Garica Lorca back in April at a record show for 4 bucks. I was worried that i had wasted 4 bucks but it was worth the price for the Overture alone!
Anyone else have this and what do you think of it?

I found this score in a used soundtrack bin after I had bought McKenzie's score to "Durango." And since I loved his score to "Durango," I figured I didn't have much to lose picking up "Garcia Lorca," especially since it was used and therefore inexpensive. I'm glad I bought it. It is a very good score and the overture is indeed great. I highly recommend it. Now, I just need to locate some of McKenzie's other scores...

    Gorgeous! Superb!
After buying "Durango" and "Frank & Jesse" I knew I had to have Garcia Lorca too. Fell in love with the theme immediately. Later on I rented the movie to hear the score in context.

I LOVE this score! Every second of it, from the passionate flamenco singing to the glorious Lorca theme to the sensitive guitar... I absolutely adore it! Incredible!

    Hey,
How does this score compare with McKenzie´s other scores? He is truly an underappreciated composer that needs to get more high-profile work. Anybody heard his Son of Darkness:To die For 2? Very Similar to Warlock 2, with a great ´riding´ theme

I love the 'Overture' to Dr. Jekyll and Ms Hyde. VERY good theme. and an enjoyable CD as well. It's about the onyly CD I have that I listen to the whole way through, it's such a good listen.

NP -- Arlington Road<-- unlike this one, but AR does have its moments

Garcia Lorca is another proof that McKenzie is a great composer. Since a couple of years I buy every score of McKenzie. I don't even read reviews or listen to some tracks. I just buy them. I'm looking forward to his score to Dragonheart 2. I've already heard some stuff though. Sounds great ... again.

Man, haven't heard that name in a long time. Didn't he write "Blood Wedding"?
(or for you Spanish types, "Boda de Sangre")
