Although I'm not really online for full yet, I've had some time to work on the design of my web page "Celluloid Tunes" so that you can view it without feeling an urgent need to throw up. It still looks crappy, but at least it's polished crap!

If you have the time, please head over and have a look at it. And I'll be very happy for ANY type of feedback - either here or by e-mail.

    Go here: Celluloid Tunes

Thank you very much in advance!

Amateurish? It looks really good! Now we know why you refuse to come here that often anymore. Prefering to work on your own page, and coming up with fake stories of having no internet access, eh?

Good Show Thor! A huge leap from your original site in both design and content.

I especially like the well researched "Oscar Winning Composers" page and the "Gathering of Maestros" page. I've been trying to get a look at that photo from Vanity Fair since I heard about it a couple of years ago and boom! there it it on your site.

It's now in my bookmarks on my browser.

Marian: Touché! No, seriously, the good thing about Frontpage is that you are able to work on your homepage OFFline. I still have to pay a lot of money for being online - are you saying you haven't noticed the strong absence of Thorian outrage and controversy?

Hal: Thanks! Glad to be of help.

And just for you, Hal, since you reminded me: added pictures and a complete Alfred Newman overview in the Oscar-winning composers section! Thanks again.

Hey Thor, I have a question: Is your web page a hobby or are there any other side goals in mind? I'm amazed at all the time and effort you put into the thing. Neat.

Oh, Howard, it's very much a hobby (no economic profit is ever expected). I simply don't have the time or knowhow to dedicate myself fully to the site, and to make it professional like moviemusic.com, filmtracks.com, fsm.com or all the other -com's out there.

As I state in my newly rewritten intro on the site, CELLULOID TUNES is a very personal site. The point of departure (in articles and such) is very often myself and my own view on and relation to things. That is, perhaps, where I diverge somewhat from other, more anonymous (yet better-looking) film music sites in cyberspace.

With this site, I get the chance to blow off some steam on various topics now and then (when I feel like it, of course - you DID notice my small "independent film music"-paragraph, right? ) Nevertheless, I MIGHT just be in a little too deep....

    Thanks for asking.
