Marcelo!!...I'd compose music for Dex for free regardless of whether or not she was making a Movie!!! Anyway, with all these over the top testosterone-induced responses to Dex's photo, we've probably scared her away....I hope not anyway!! Dex, are you still here?? NP Star Wars

Exarkum - I'm trying to break the stereotype that all women like mushy romantic scores. I'll take Zimmer's action material over the fluffy stuff any time.Gae - No, you haven't all scared me away. I've been busy this week at college, what with finals approaching and all. I just haven't had much time to get back to the board. Hopefully, I'll be around much more this summer. Again, thanks for all the kind words. It's nice to see that people still know how to flirt. That doesn't happen much anymore, and it's rather quite sad.

VT, you crack me up... lol.Stacey, I haven't responded yet simply because I didn't want my comments to blend in with all the rest... but I guess that is inevitable. Justin and I were talking about all the flirtatious "coming out of the woodwork" everyone has been doing on this thread. Heh, yeah - I think it's pretty funny that all of these guys are literally drooling over your picture. I do agree w/ you that a picture doesn't mean squat if the person themselves don't measure up. Thankfully, it seems as if your personality *does* measure up. I guess that's a 19 year old's attempt at a compliment... Like most everyone else, I've really enjoyed your presence here at Moviemusic.com and look forward to reading your future posts. With the added member profile features, I think it's great we can finally put faces w/ names. Thanks for adding your picture! Now, if everyone else would get on the ball...... Jeron

Yeah Jeron. Drooling so much I shorted out my keyboard. Just kidding.I find this truly intriguing now. I consider myself to be a student of human nature, and I was just wondering. Would everybody (including myself) be so quick to "flirt" if it were in person rather than over a message board. If I had to guess, I'd say no. I think the message board provides a bit of anonimity, and that people are more likely to be less inhibitive knowing that that anonimity is in place. Of course, there are the truly extroverted people that will say pretty much anything to anybody at anytime, and they're the exception. Just my thoughts.

I think that's a safe assumption. I will say this, though, and Cole, Scott, and Aaron can attest, that my posts are a direct reflection of my personality. I hope that's a good thing......then again, when have I ever remained "anonymous?" Heh, that's just not my style. Jeron

Steven Smith, great observation. By the very nature of the internet, people tend to be less inhibited. Ok. Becoming less inhibited is also a trait closely associated with the affects of drinking alcohol. Am I to understand, through (comic) logic, that because everyone here is less inhibited, everyone is DRUNK????Oh gawd, no wonder there are so many flame wars and sensitive people online! Now I know what it's like to be the bartender.... PeterK NP - "Licence to Kill" by Michael Kamen

The Williams resemblance has been noticed before and if I lost about 30 Ibs would have signed a couple of those autographs that I was asked for when I was around the Hall in boston. My nose is bigger, not sure about the ego. Age wise, Williams has me by a couple of years. With a shave and my buzz cut for summer, alas I now look like I could be his son!

Hello, Dex. What a wonderful delight it is to read your profile. I was an English Major myself at University of North Florida (aka U Never Finish...)until I escaped...<cough> graduated two years ago. I know what it's like with Finals, papers, and more reading than there are hours in the day. I definately wish you the best of luck in your studies. BTW, what is your minor, or have you picked one yet?Zimmer's Gladiator has some great action cues, specifically The Barbarian Horde and The Battle. Great stuff, IMO. I look forward to seeing your posts in the future. Chris Harben Atlantic Beach, FL

Dex, It's nice to see a woman loving Zimmer. Now, my girlfriend used to freak out on me whenever I listened to Zimmer. But thankfully she has been 'softening' up to his music. Heck, she can now recognize Zimmer's music in the cinema. She used to say " What is that NOISE you hearing??" And now she's saying " Hey..this is nice.. She said that in two occasions, one while watching Gladiator and the other while watching MI:2 during the huge gun fight scene with Nyah in it..you know ..the one with the huge choral work So I'm glad there are more females that love Zimmer..my only wish is turning my gf to a true Zimmer freak

Dex,Hope you've been made to feel welcome here at MovieMusic.com, I'm sure PeterK is making that possible- and I'm not this site's social director, but I hope you come to feel like you're part of a family. It already seems like that when we seem to argue like one. You mentioned you were in school, what degree are you pursuing? What was the first score you remember grabbing your attention?

The last few comments directed at The Member Profile Known As Dex are in jest, right? Please. In answer to "Where is Dex?", I will relay the following: she is currently on vacation with Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, Military Intelligence, and Denise Richards' Academy Award. No, PeterK, you are NOT taking all of this too seriously. A hysterical refusal to admit this fiction - or include it with others already admitted - is not, by itself, capable of generating credibility. Anyone who has ever lied has probably tried the tactic of owning up to SOME of his or her lying: on the surface, it would seem to give credence later on to any claims of innocence. Peter, it's your board, and you have been taking a more active & visible hand in recent weeks to help shape this place in accordance with your vision & hopes for it. If detectable - and AVOIDABLE - falseness from some of your members creates distrust and/or an uneasy feeling on the board, PLEASE don't second-guess yourself for wanting it to cease (whether from ownership/apology, or cessation of event, or both). Shaun, Jonathan, Al, and others have made it pretty clear that they share my feelings of general unease (or specific creepiness!) over the way things have unfolded. I have myself offered retraction for any undue harshness in my approach to this thing, only to watch it become a pointed issue again. The fact that folks around here have noticed similarity in writing style between the "involved parties", as well as the fact that they have made mention of it, demonstrates this much: THEY CARE TO KNOW WITH WHOM THEY ARE SPEAKING, even if that knowledge does not extend to a real name or in-depth biographical data. Anything else would make this fine place a Bulletin Board, not a message board; and our rambling, entertaining, thoughtful, insightful, educational conversations become simple exercises in the Declarative. Once this place loses its human warmth, it becomes a very attractively-designed tomb. I really don't want that. I know that I will be castigated by those who feel that an apology about SOME of this whole affair from its progenitor is itself a class act. Outside of my subjective opinion that PART of an apology is not classy at all, I would point out that said apology happened only in response to growing unrest about this whole thing. I function quite well in the real world, thank you; I don't see how this does not classify as real interaction or bonding (I have made a number of terrific friends here, whom I speak with in "Real Time" over the phone, and have even met). I do not take this place so seriously that what happens here affects my ability to be happy, or impinges on my relationships conducted in flesh & blood. I DO take it seriously when folks are being false! It is a detriment to morale & good order. I see that I am not the only one who feels this way. I spoke of humanity on, and in, this board. I have no interest in a ritual sacrifice of one of our members, nor do I seek the banishment of the fella who began this "to see how long it would last". As someone with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, I understand well the pain of Process interfering with Socialization (if that is indeed the problem). I still will never understand a compulsion to lie to friends as part of an experiment, or for sheer entertainment value. The ripples from that particular stone in the pond are felt most NOT by the person who threw it! Let's have truth here! My own sometimes embarrassing and/or unfortunate condition would never be a valid reason for me to lie - and I would EXPECT you to nail me for one. I neither expect nor desire the home phone numbers, religious affiliation, or sexual preferences of all of our members to be available and/or material in our ability to interact. I have learned to accept that most folks prefer not divulging their given names....I am quite sure the reasons are many and valid (not least being that names are the smallest part of who we really are). This site has had its controversy over "Free Speech" vs. Decorum, and its administrator was resolute on insisting that we remain civil to each other, even at the cost of all ideas being heard. Cool! I agree. In my opinion, this is an extension of that same philosophical viewpoint. Is it okay to "play" with this board? Is it okay to cause a great deal of unrest? Is it okay to avoid, or lie to, the site administrator? Peter, do NOT second-guess yourself. I don't know whether to laugh or cry when I see so many responses from VERY NICE PEOPLE to a person/topic that is nothing more than a joke (or, it sounds like, an experiment). I know that others will disagree with me on this - hey, vive le difference - but these lies are annoying, distracting, unfair, and not formulated with the best interests of this board in mind. Do I want banishment for the guy involved? Hell, no. Since a complete apology is not forthcoming, I will not hold out for that, either. Just strike this thread - and this "member" - ASAP. The real girl behind the face of our "Dex" did not write her posts. My own apology to that person will be genuine, heartfelt, and rather lengthily posted here (should she ever surface). I'll be happy to add that new, real member to our family; and will explain my misgivings in light of what has transpired. End this, man. You KNOW you're right.
