I know it's been mentioned before but I ordered this soundtrack from Amazon and it arrived today and all I can say is... Oh... my god. It's truly amazing. I can't say enough good things about it. If you haven't picked up a copy, take my word for it, you will not be disappointed. John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith have had a son and his name is Michael Giacchino. This score is to good for a computer game. Give this man a movie to score TODAY!!!!

    Steve's Rating: **********+/*****!

It's only available through Amazon, correct? The samples they have are great (I play "The Radar Train" constantly, even though it's only 30 seconds,) but I've seriously been considering buying it. A lot of reviews say it's the type of score Saving Private Ryan should've had.

Maybe I'll get around to ordering it within the next week or so.

I think it is only available thru Amazon, yeah. That's where I ordered it from. It sounds a lot like John Williams at his best. Full blooded, heroic, great themes... just fantastic. And I agree that this type of score would've been excellent on Saving Private Ryan...

Jeron got me and a whole bunch of other people hooked on this one. It is really great and just another example of how Michael is truly gifted.

Another great score by him is The Lost World for the Playstation game. Awesome soundtrack.

As far as being a score Saving Private Ryan should have had. Well, I think Ryan had an incredible score. Complex, emotional and always fitting. I think most people had a problem with the spotting, but this was not a heroic kind of film. It was mainly to show the horrors of war and what our veterans went through.

Hey guys... good news. Giacchino is now in the process of scoring Medal of Honor's sequel. Perhaps we'll see yet another outstanding cd from Dreamworks!

    I would sure hope so!

Either way, I just hope more of his music can be released. Hopefully he can do some more film work as well.

    Regards,
    Sean Robert Abbey
