Is the sound quality of these items that awful?

I don't know about "Innerspace," but "Twilight Zone" sounds just fine. And the MUSIC ... well, the MUSIC is just SPECTACULAR! Still, TZ is taken from a promo LP, if memory serves, so the quality of homemade CDs may vary.

I love the Innerspace boot. It has a few hisses here and there, but not a lot, and it's certainly not distracting enough that I regret buying it. It's one of my favorite Goldsmith scores, with "The Pod Battle" (as I call it, seeing as how I had to make up my own track titles) the standout track.I say if you like the music, go for it!

Wedge, what's the label on your Twilight Zone? Mine sounds awful, copied from one of those old, ugly, white-shelled Warner Brothers tapes like Superman with no noise reduction or high end, which the cover art was (badly) copied from as well.Innerspace sounds wierd, but better than my Twilight Zone.

Actually, I don't KNOW the label ... it's a CDR courtesy of Mr. InSanDiego, so you'll have to ask him. Also, your audio tolerance may be more discriminatory than mine. It's not a PERFECT mix by a long shot. The music is so good, I don't really tend to care. My collection is so full of crappy-sounding stuff, TZ sounds golden just by comparison.
