Have you ever noticed bloopers on CD cases? In my collection, there are two I know of that have bloopers.

    1. Under Siege 2: Dark Territory
The picture shows Seagal from the climax of the film, standing in the train's dining car. But through the window, you see not the blurry Colorado landscape of the film's setting, but instead the green screen hanging on the soundstage wall behind the set.

    2. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Underneath where it says music composed and conducted (and mixed, sequenced and produced) by Alan Howarth, it says Halloween Scene by John Carpenter. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to say Halloween Theme.

Any bloopers on your CD cases (or ones you've seen) that you know about?

NP: Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers - "Birth Ceremony" ****/*****
(Man! Talk about an eerie score. And it's interesting to hear the main theme and the stalking theme played on a guitar instead of a piano. This is probably the best Halloween score. Actually, I take that back. Halloween 4 is the best score of the series. This is the second-best. Hmmm . . . Maybe I better add something on these scores to my website.)

Well on the Rhino release of Supmerman, they mispelled "Superfeats" on the outside box track list.

And I believe on the track list of John Ottman's Apt Pupil, the tracklist is missing a track.

On the original CD release of Rosenman's Lord of the Rings, the tracks are listed in chronological order, but are totally re-sequenced on the CD. I was confused when I first heard the Riders of Rohan track.

Oops. Forgot about Congo. Anybody have an idea of why that track listing's so screwed up? That's one CD which I keep a slip of paper in the booklet that has the correct track order (and times) written. It can get headache-inducing trying to read the track titles through the top of the CD player as the disc spins.

What about the original release of E.T. On the LP and CD. The first track was titled "3 Million Light Years From Earth" instead of From Home. He was on Earth.

I'm getting Congo real soon, what exactly is wrong with the tracks? You saying they are only listed on the CD itself?

    TimT-
The listing on the back cover and even the inside of the inserts is not in the same order as it appears on CD. On the back cover, if you look hard enough, you will see an ever-so-tiny note which says "(see CD label for sequence)"

Sure enough, on the CD label the tracks are listed in a different (correct) order.

I had the CD for 3 months before I noticed. The Filmtracks.com review still has the incorrect listing.

Tyhe release by Hollywood Records, of Poledouris Les Miserables is labelled pretty badly. It leads one such as myself to conclude the CD is much longer than it actually is.

Chouans!, by Georges Delerue, also has extremely poor packaging. Timing mistakes are very prevalent.

and of course Serra's Goldeneye. Of course, the blooper here is that it was made at all! DOH!

On the CD of Star Trek Vol 1/Crescendo
from the TV series there are not any tracks listed.
But in the track listing at Amazon, one track
    is missing from the list.
So,could be this a double blooper?

Well on Mouse Hunt, Orchestrator William Ross'name is misspelled as Willaim.

On JNH's A Perfect Murder track 2 Ever Been to Belize is a typo.

On Star Trek Insurrection some cues are longer than the timings.

Cherry 2000, Serpent and the Rainbow and Father of the Bride all have mystery cues.

On the recent re-release of Conti's "For Your Eyes Only," on the back of the case, track 4 says "Gonzales Takes a Drive," but on the inside it says "Gonzales Takes a Dive," which actually makes more sense given the scene.

Both PEE-WEE scores have faulty track listing. On the first, track 11(?) is listed as the first track of BACK TO SCHOOL, while it still is PEE-WEE.

In BIG TOP PEE-WEE, there are more bloopers - I remember one track ("Elephant Walk"?) being listed, but is not on the CD (or not that particular track). As a consequence, all titles and tracks are out of synch!

My Star Trek: Insurrection back cover has "color shifts". Seems that the colors weren't printed congruently. The track titles are a bit hard to read. Is that only my CD, or did a whole series have that error?

I've got a CD for something called Birdman Of AlcTRATRAZ by someone called ElmAr Bernstein.

What about missprints in film credits? Many moons ago I saw Legend Of The 7 Golden Vampires in the cinema. "Music composed by James BENARD". Surely not. Saw it again on TV twenty years later, and there it was again!

I have an Argentinian release of
"The Man With The Golden Arm" OST
    (By E. Bernstein of course)
    Released by BMG/DECCA in 1995
    Number ECD 50647
    that has several mistakes:

    Pete Candoll (Pete Candolli)
    Fred Teiner (Fred Steiner)
    Shorty Roggers (Shorty Rogers)
    Shelly Manne (Shelley Manne)

    Oh Boy!!!!!
But in this case I know who did it
because in the back of the CD case
    is printed:
    "Album cordinator: Rafael Abud"

    Could be this another blooper?.

The original LP release of ET did have the track listed as "Three Million Light Years from Earth", not "Home" which makes more sense. It took them a long time to fix it.

If you go back to 1977 to the original Fox LP release of Star Wars, at least one track on the second disc was listed on the wrong side of the disc.
