BY THE WAY as long as no one is giving me any feedback on Running Free i thought i might as well get no feedback on Sunshine and Up at the Villa as well.....but if someone wants to surprise me and restore my faith in this message board - perhaps show me that we can discuss the film music WORLD and not just how much you all think Zimmer's gladiator and M I 2 "suck" - then i would be ever so pleased

Well yeah noone giving me feedback either for On the Beach, nor Battlefield Earth, so I know how you feel.
I'm sick of all these Gladiator post, it's as if thats all that everyone bought and nothing else!
Well I have Sunshine, my second Jarre score. My first being I dreamed of Africa, so thats all I can compare it too.
Sunshine is good. It sound very simular to IDOF but just no African influences. Theres is a central main theme thats very catchy, that goes through out the score the first and last tracks being the best. The last one incorporates a chorous. The middle section is a little boring, but there thier are some highlights in there. But over all I like it.
I'd give it 3/5 becuase it's also very short, just about 35min.
I dreamed of Afrika is alot better though.
Sorry I don't have Up the Villa[This message has been edited by TimT (edited 01 June 2000).]

Up At The Villa guys is a really good score by Donaggio. It runs 55 minutes and it's mostly stringy and romantic music and it's well worth getting. Well Cole since you snapped at me for Running Free and didn't see my comment on it, I guess you'll have to find out on the other thread. For Tim T Battlefield Earth is pretty good, but it's not all that's hyped up to be. I still love his score to Ronin since it's a lot more exciting than BE. And I agree with you on the Gladiator posts. It's a terrific movie and a great score. Enough already. Bring on X-Men!!!P.O.

LOL... Yes, I can attest alright...
Sorry Cole, I haven't bought either of these cds... though I have heard a track from "Sunshine" (thanks Tim) that is very good. Cole, you'd love the music. I know how you are and this is right up your alley. Go for it! You just got 8, why not make it 9 or 10? Be like me.

It's cool Cole no harm done. Anyway The Big Khuna is a loungy jazz score by Young that is along the lines of Rounders and Norma Jean and Marilyn only bounicer. If only Varese would stop delaying the release of his other first class score to Wonderboys I'd be happier.
