Just thought some of you would be interested.
The list was based on record sales.

    Some of the soundtracks:

    Batman Forever
    The Lion King
    Dazed and Confused
    The Committments
    Pure Country
    West Side Story
    Waiting To Exhale
    Little Mermaid
    Pretty Woman
    Tarzan
    Beauty and the Beast
    Armageddon
    Pochahontas
    Saturday Night Fever
    Wild Wild West
    Men In Black
    Top Gun
    Cocktail
    Footloose
    The Crow: City of Angels
    Flashdance
    Dirty Dancing
    Titanic (surprisingly NOT number one)
    Forrest Gump
    Grease
    Wayne's World
    The Graduate
    Austin Powers
    Space Jam
    Purple Rain
    City of Angels
    The Bodyguard (Number One)
    Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
    Miami Vice (TV Soundtrack)
    Boomerang
    Dangerous Minds
    Pulp Fiction
    Aladdin

My opinions? NOT A SINGLE FULL-SCORE ALBUM. Albums like Titanic and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves made NO MENTION to their respective composers at all on the show. No, wait....Miami Vice got Jan Hammer mentioned, ONCE.

VH1 isn't about "Save the Music"

they're about saving bad pop music, as is MTV and their Real World thing.
How many frikkin' horrible, lame dancing, girly (and they are girly) New Kids on the Block clones do we need? I'm sure it goes back further, but that's as far back as I wanna go.

What would happen if VH1 or someone suddenly embraced classical music, and film scores?

oh well, I guess as long as they keep showing Shania Twain, I'll be droo--I mean watching...
