Here's another Alex North that needs the BITE THE BULLET treatment:

    THE SHOES OF THE FISHERMAN.

I've never heard of the film, but I got the LP awhile back, and I am very impressed with North's music (well, it was ALWAYS good!).

Prometheus, FSM, Rhino, whomever...do this score justice!

NP -- Robert Schumann, Symphony No. 3

"Shoes Of The Fisherman" is a somewhat plodding 1968 drama about Anthony Quinn as a a dissident Russian priest who becomes Pope. From a score standpoint, it is worth noting that North's main theme was recycled from his rejected "2001" score.
