I just saw Scream 3 for the second time on Monday, & whilst I really loved it, both film & score, I couldn't help wondering about some of the curious track titles on the CD. There's the obvious wonderful track 19, when Sid doesn't wear a dress, but a wrap-around skirt kind of thing. And I could also point out that Gale (as in Weathers) is not spelt Gail like on the tracks. But most odd, is tracks 3, neatly titled DoppleGailer. But this appears towards the end of the film, when the killer is chasing Sidney, & actually has nothing to do with either Gale. So why it should be so titled is a mystery to me.
However, one neat thing with the order of the tracks on the CD is putting the ghostly reprise of Sid's theme at the end of the CD, so if you listen to it without having seen the film, you might be forced to conclude that Sidney didn't make it. That's certainly the way it first appeared to me when I listened first (although the gloriously optimistic version in track 19 does imply a happy ending).
Any thoughts? Or do I have too much time on my hands?

I actually hate most of the track titles because it's hard to tell when ones goes for which part of the movie. I enjoyed the score more as it was in the movie, but listening to it on it's one (except for a couple tracks) is rather annoying. I regret buying it now. Most of them are too short and too quiet. I put the CD on and played the first track, and before I knew it, it was already on, like, Track 5!! I hate that, when the cues are so short and quiet that they're over before you even know it.

I still think the score for the first film is the best.
