Here are some short samples to Elia Cmiral's new score to Battlefield Earth. Personally I can't wait to get my copy.
Enjoy!!!

I'm sure the score will be great, but from the trailer I think it looks like a five-star stinker...Well, we'll have to wait and see...

Sounds like Mr. Cmiral has an identity crisis, he sounds just like Brad Feidel, Alan Silvestri, David Arnold and Hans Zimmer rolled into one. No sale here!NP: Flash Gordon (1980) ****/**** by Howard Blake

Commence Revolt sounded wonderful. I saw Ronin last week to once again hear this composer's music and really liked it.

I e-mailed Dantoris the links this morning, and a couple hours later, he mailed be back and told me he loved them, especially "Trench Attack" and "Commence Revolt."But he wanted to know if the tracks run their full length, or are they shortened?

I have no idea. I would wager they are just an short sample from each of the cues.Anyway, what I would like to know is. Which of the samples do you think is the best?

They're not using that Edgar Winter album that was produced as a companion to the book?

Hmmm. That sounds quite cool. I look forward to hearing more. I've not heard anything by Cmiral before. Is Ronin any good?

The same here! I have not heard any of this composer's work, so I am very much looking forward to getting this score.
I do know that there are not that many he has done though, anyone have suggestions as to what other Cmiral scores to look at next for purchase?
Thanks.

Many of his previous scores are for foreign film, and thus not available here in the US. All I know of is "Ronin" (interesting action score), "Battlefield Earth," and "The Last Express," which is the score for a CD-Rom game being released by Intrada.Dantoris has a page for him at his website where you can get more information. I don't know the exact address, but it's linked off of his Soundtracks page.
