Has anyone heard from Mark lately? He and I had been in fairly regular contact with one another and now...NUTHIN'!!! I haven't heard a thing in over a month and it appears that he hasn't been posting much lately at all. Mark, if you're reading this I hope you're okay. Drop me line. Umm...did you get the last three e-mails I sent you? If anybody has any info on Mark, please let me know.

"Senator" Hatfield has undoubtedly been busy preparing for the pilgrimmage to Detroit--which is suddenly but 4 weeks away!

Mark's fine, he's just having roommate troubles, and has had to move his computer someplace inconvenient. Hence, he hasn't been by. I haven't been getting e-mails either, but the last one was plenty reassuring. He'll be back very soon (and he'll certainly be in Detroit: looks like we'll be roomies.)

Ouch, Rocco, yes it does BURN badly. Sadist!

I've recently heard from Mark. He's in the process of moving and simplifying life. He should return to us soon.

(Don't you just love the way we worry about each other, sight unseen? )

Now wait a second. I'm confused, last time 'round I sang him a chorus of "Laura" when he mentioned what I thought was his wife. Is that the roommate you're referring to?

    DISCLAIMER

The above question was not asked for gossip purposes but strictly for possible future reference in the next episode of "Fact or Fiction?/UNPLUGGED". We wouldn't want to offend anybody (unless it's Chris K. on the receiving end, nyuk-nyuk-nyuk).

You SANG to Mark? Maybe that is why he disappeared.
Laura, I think, is a girlfriend. The roommate was a jerky guy,
    I believe.

So Howard, what are you going to sing to H’ness and Chris in
Detroit? Or would that cause a cancellation?

Laura's not his wife as yet; anyway, she's not the problem. As far as the roommate, I don't feel privileged to explain that. I looked at an old e-mail, and it indicates that Mark should be back as a regular by the first week in May.

I missed the chorus of "Laura" ...

Howard, maybe you sing beautifully; I’ll bet you do.
Need to say that since you are writing another “Fact
or Fiction.” I don’t want you to forget the other gender
in your next play. Come on, good friend.
    Immortalize ME!

NP Nothing yet. Just finished watching Fight Club. Interesting to note
that my hubby left the room half way through it, while I hung on
to every scathing, satirical word! He hated it.

    WOW!!!

I am truly blessed to have such a kind and caring community of friends. I really do love you all (even you, Liverance.....just don't sing to me anymore, ok? ).

I really have been living the curse of "living in interesting times" for the past couple of months. Good news? I move into a new place - ALONE - on Tuesday, May 9th. My visibility around here, and frequency of "off-site" e-mailings, will jump back to at least its former level. Sorry! My access to my own computer & peace of mind about same will return to normal, as well. PICK ROOMMATES WISELY, PEOPLE.

Brad, you're an absolute sweetheart & a helluva dude. Thank You so much for your concern and support, man. It is 3:15am here and I must go......but you'll get the very next e-mail that I send (later today, methinks. I might get two whole hours around the computer - about 11 sentences, with my typing speed. Snicker not, oh ye fully-fingered folk).

I really do love you guys. Thanks.

The only "singing" is gonna come from a bugle playing taps for about 3 or 4 'boarders if a certain pattern doesn't quit emerging...

We love ya back, Mark, whether we'll say it or not. (Hmm, looks like I just did.) You Berek Halfhanded teddy bear, you. Look forward to showing you GAPPA (no it's NOT some kind of disgusting sex practice) (heh, maybe it's a NOT-so-disgusting sex practice) (no it's not THAT EITHER) also look forward to showing you MATANGO (now that IS a disgusting sex practice! At least metaphorically.) (sigh, they're movies, people)

“Ah, there’s the RUB. Whether tis nobler,” to find my
Internet Voodoo dolls and pins, and with Herrmann’s Psycho
shower scene music playing in the background, stick and stick,
    and shove and slash and...

H’ness, if you would just quit “rubbing around” for a while and let
your deft, nimble fingers answer my Papillon/Patton question on the
capturing/creating thread, I’d appreciate it. Or did you wear out your
dexterous appendages with your marathon response on the “Complete
    Scores” thread?

NP Just put on Psycho. Seems appropriate to my mental state.

grrr ... I just posted a reply to the PATTON/PAPILLON question, but it's not nearly as good as the EARLIER one that GOT KILLED BY THE COMPUTER FAILING ON ME, which is why I didn't go back to it for so long. It HURTS to lose an essay sometimes. And I KNOW the previous version was better. I really wish it was exactly like throwing a switch. Light goes on; mind goes on. It should only be that easy. Anyway, I hope some of my answer makes sense.

Oops! Maybe one of my Voodoo pins missed your doll and hit my computer, shutting you down..heh,heh. At least your post kept you off the rub rub rub issue track, for a wee bit of time, that is. I'll go there now and respond. Gracias.
