    Well, now that I have the score and have seen the movie, I really like this score.

    Probably not as good as Zimmer's The Rock, but still it's worth getting.

    I easily could hear MARS during the Battle and a little bit during Barbarian Horde. And knowing what MARS is like as I've actually played it in a band, it's great to hear it used, as it really fits into context of the film. Why not use MARS as he was the Roman God of War?

    All in all, I have enjoyed the score and it will get a lot of play!

    I'm not a fan of the score (in fact, I haven't really heard that much of it), but there is an insightful interview with Hans Zimmer and Lisa Gerrard on the Music from the Movies web site. One of the more interesting things Zimmer says is the following:
