Lesley let us know that Ain't It Cool News has posted three reviews of this week's test screening of The Patriot (see April 7 news for earlier reviews). In one of them, Harry Knowles points out that the temp music was filled with Williams' Born on the Fourth of July themes. So that's a little clue on the kind of approach that Evlin & Emmerich would like for the score.

Also, Cinescape reported earlier this week that director Ronald Emmerich is very optimistic about the status of their film, including the scoring process. 'John Williams came on very early on and he has enough time to write the music.', the director said.

Just thought you would all like to know.

Kyp, who's Evlin? Is that Dean Devlin's sister? Also, who's Ronald Emmerich? Roland Emmerich's long lost brother?

Kyp! Come on man, did you not learn anything in your English classes? Citing and documenting your sources is an extremely important thing to do!

I feel loved. But I was kind of on my way to work and did not have time to site the source.
