    Marian,
Did You know 'Greensleeves' was quite possibly originally written by King Henry VIII?! (16th century King of England)

No, I didn't know that. Austria also had a composing emperor at about that time, but I can't recall the name now. His works are played quite frequently on the radio.

When mentioning Dvorak, I criminally forgot his Slavonic Dances. I'd recommend a recording by Raphael Kubelik. They have (or at least had) that one at the local library, can't remember the orchestra. Unfortunately, the disc had so many scratches that I couldn't copy it. Got a recording by Lorin Maazel and the Berliner Philharmoniker today, but it doesn't come near Kubelik's version. And the sound quality, though a digital recording, is not impressive - as opposed to the Bernstein CD I got today as well, although that one is from the late 60's/early 70's. Fantastically clear sound. The Dvorak disc is quite muffled and doesn't sound as "wide" as this one.
