I was looking at the Society of Composers and Lyricists website and came across something some of you might be interested in. The SCL is selling audio cassettes of various film composers talking about film scoring, their careers, etc. It's $30 for 2 tapes (CDs available for Goldsmith and Elfman).

Hey guys,Well, if you did not know I have just recently joined the Society of Composers and Lyrisicts. One of the advantages is getting a few seminar tapes and the composer-to-composer series. I know this will interest some of you(Aaron/Audacity mainly), but I got the JNH tape and the Elmer Bernstein Tape. And they are great tapes, talking about scores they have done, how they've entered the business, and other miscellaneous things.
Another advantage is the email list and contacts. I have now made numerous contacts and am planning to be in LA for a month or two before college. I will be hopefully interning with some big-name composers and getting a start in the business. If you have any questions about SCL, feel free to email me!

Kris and Aaron,Thanks for the tip about those tapes, I will definitely look into getting the JNH one and probably some of the others like Silvestri.
