Okay, I've almost got every track placed in the correct order, but there are three I'm having trouble with....9. Kissy Kissie 12. All Will Be Well 14. The Greatest Mystery Of Life If anyone knows where any of these three tracks go in the movie, I would greatly appreciate it. James NP - Dvorak, Symphony no. 9

Hey, could you possibly put up what you have in a following post? I'm having big troubles putting them in correct order myself.I'll try to see where those tracks you've yet to place go, in the meantime...

OKAY EVERYONE, I'VE FIGURED IT OUT!!(BTW, Kris, sort of. This album presents a lot of the best, biggest parts in the beginning and then fizzles out towards the end, which is pretty much the opposite of the film.) For Alwin and any interested, here is the CORRECT TRACK ORDER for Glennie-Smith's THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK... 19. The Palace 15. Raoul and Christine 3. The Pig Chase 11. The Rose 20. Raoul's Death 17. Angry Athos 8. A Taste of Something 14. The Greatest Mystery of Life 9. Kissy Kissie 6. The Moon Beckons 10. Training to Be King 18. Raoul's Letter 7. The Masked Ball 12. All Will Be Well 4. The Ascension 21. The Queen Approaches 5. King for a King 16. It Is A Trap 1. Surrounded 13. All For One 2. Heart of a King I also kept a tally on all the cues which are missing from the CD, in case there's a cue you've been looking for for a while and cannot find it anywhere on the CD...
.Prologue & Main Title .The People's Riot .The Meeting in the Tomb ."Find Them First" (when Louis asks Dartangan if the original muskateers are a threat) .The Edge of the Moon .The Escape .Removing the Mask ."Do You Have That Heart?" (the conversation about Aremis's plan) .The Delivery (Louis is sent the mask as a warning) ."You Will Burn in Hell, I Will Not" (Christine's conversation with Louis about Raoul) .The Ball is Tomorrow .Going to the Palace ."I Will Make Amends" (Christine's outburst at the ball) .Back to Your Dungeon (a love scene between Dartangan and the Queen followed by Phillippe having his mask put back on) James NP - Mission to Mars (*****)

Thanks James, for the correct order. I've always had trouble figuring out where Kissie Kissie went. Great job figuring out... I've been trying to do so for several months now.

I haven't looked, but did Milan make any corrections in the order of the tracklist for their "Silver Screen Series" released last week? Would have been a great opportunity.I too felt energized when listening to the first 1/2 of the original CD, and can't ever remember listening through to the end... exactly because of the fizzle.

Great, now everyone gets to see what I dork I used to be. That's right, used to be. *cough*Strange thing is I don't remember ever having seen this film more than once, but I must have watched it at least twice (probably even more) to keep track of all those cues. Selective memory, I suppose. Incidentally, I've since lost interest in Glennie-Smith's brand of action music, but I still really enjoy the quieter, dramatic portions of this score. It's an underrated effort, I think. According to Milan's web site the track listing is the same. They also list "bonus material" in the form of an interview with Nick Glennie-Smith, but they could just be overselling the insert notes. Kirk

It's funny you should mention that, I think it's track 12 I always end up stopping on. But if I remember right, track 16 is pretty good. I think i'll have to order the remastered copy just cuz my original is pretty beat up. Clayton NP>The Missing

Nice to see a 6-year old thread dug up!Seriously, but I've been out of the game for a long time. I mainly lurk undercover these days. I'd still be interested in The Man in the Iron Mask complete score, or at the very least, in correct order. I still haven't pieced it together myself, although I have the list posted above saved on the ol' hard drive.
